Are ya going up to Frankenmuth for Oktoberfest, Frank?

No, but if everything goes as planned (and when does it ever, really?) I'll be going there for dinner next week. I was supposed to go earlier this week but it didn't happen.

I like onion straws on my burgers. Spring mix is whatever leafy greens they want to throw on the burgers. Some kind of baby lettuce or leaf lettuce is probably in the mix. I didn't spend much time looking at it, but I had one of those Oktoberfest burgers for a late breakfast today. It was so filling I didn't eat anything else but I'm finally getting ready to eat something. Probably just some snacks for now. The burger was good but I like some of their other burgers better. While I sat there waiting for them to cook it I was looking at the Oktoberfest burger sign. It said $7.99 but I paid $7.41, which I already knew from memory was $6.99 plus 6% tax. I pointed at the sign and told the cashier I didn't pay that much and she checked to make sure she rang up a double burger. She did and I saved $1.06.

Chicken Caesar wrap. That's the unhealthiest thing I've had today. It was loaded with saturated fat and sodium, etc.

P.S. If you round it off to the nearest dollar I spent $130 on groceries today and saved $105. 44% off, and it would have been more if they still had Planter's dry roasted peanuts in stock. They were only 99 cents a jar with a limit of 5. It was a Friday and Saturday only sale and I didn't go Friday, so the shelves were empty.

I have a Banquet Mega Deep Dish Meat Lover's pot pie in front of me that's too hot to eat at the moment. I don't normally buy pot pies but I had a coupon for 2 of them, Mega Bowls I wanted to try, or Mega Meals. I bought what I could find.

More toasted maple streusel bread. I spelled streusel every way I could possibly think of and this stupid spell checker kept telling me I'm wrong. I'm pretty sure I spelled it right the first time but it thinks I mean strenuous. As far as I can recall, it's the first word I've ever added to my browser's dictionary.

My stomach was gnawing away at itself so I grabbed things out of the fridge I didn't have to cook: beef smoked sausage, pepper jack cheese, and garlic stuffed olives. I nuked the sausage while I got ready to eat. A 2 minute meal.

Breakfast was Moroccan spice oatmeal. It had both steel cut and rolled oats, golden raisins, apples, slivered almonds, cinnamon and ginger. Plus the usual sugar, brown sugar, and salt. It was good. It's been so long since I had oatmeal that wasn't instant that I forgot what it was like. The steel cut oats weren't mushy at all.

I was supposed to take my mom out for dinner today and after calling repeatedly for almost 8 hours she finally answered the phone. Right after I ate that sausage, etc., but not right before that. We were supposed to go out 10 days ago and several other days since, but she can't hear the phone ring when her hearing aids are in one or two other rooms and she's in another.
