I'm still trying to figure out how Jimmy Dean went from being a singer, TV host, and actor, to making sausage. The other things go tegether, but sausage making is a whole new ball game. In 1961 Big Bad John was #1 in Hot Country Songs, #1 in the Hot 100, and #1 in Adult Contemporary. And it was #2 in the UK singles chart. It won him the 1962 Grammy Award for Best Country & Western Recording, and was nominated for the Grammy Award for Song of the Year. Here he singing it on The Ed Sullivan Show.

Orange Chicken flavor Maruchan Yakisoba noodles. I had some Chili Cheese flavor yesterday and was surprised to find they had a little kick to them. Not too hot, but somewhat unexpected. I've had the Chicken, Teriyaki Beef, and Teriyaki Chicken flavors before, but only bought these 2 flavors and Teriyaki beef because they were on sale, and I didn't see any other flavors. I got 2 of each. You just pour some water in, nuke them for 4 minutes, wait 1 minute and stir in the flavor mix.

Jalapeno refried beans and pepper jack cheese, heated up and mixed with salsa, scooped up with Tangy Ketchup flavor Doritos. These Doritos aren't as good as the Hot Mustard flavor. I have Tangy Pickle flavor Doritos too, but haven't opened the bag yet.

2 Reese's Caramel Big Cups and 2 Chocolate Lava Big Cups. The salt in the peanut butter overpowers the taste of everything else, except I still tasted peanut butter. When I was checking out, the cashier told me they a peanut butter and jelly version of these. If I see them I'll try them too.

When my dog was still alive I'd buy Reese's peanut butter cups and eat the chocolate because i like it, and give the peanut butter to my little guy because he liked it. I think all dogs like peanut butter. If any don't I haven't heard about it. A woman at work thought it was funny to give a dog a glob of peanut butter and watch them lick it off the roof of their mouth. "It looks like they're talking." :D  Just like Mister Ed looked like he was talking.

Who could say no to this guy when he wants Reese's peanut butter? Not me. Especially since I don't like it. Even with that bell on his collar, he was so quiet I'd end up stepping on him because I didn't know he was there.

Today is 'garbage belly' day.....had an apple turnover (from Sam's club) for morning snack with a Coke Zero......around lunch I had a can of Vienna Sausage the last few Dorito's from a bag on top of the microwave......
Also been snacking on cookie crumbs (the wife made sugar cookies in some shape for a neighbor and the parts on the outside of the cutter went into a ziploc bag as scraps).

Might go for Tex-Mex later before the fireworks in the little town 2 miles away.
We can see the water tower from here, so might just sit on the back porch of an evening and watch from home.

Independence Day cooking for a smaller group of family vs the usual 50+ group... (we didn't spring the $$$ for a water slide this year like we used to, so fewer showed up....y'all know I had a good cry about it too...sarc-sarc-sarc)....
I rolled the Blackstone out and cooked burgers and dogs to go with slaw and baked beans and all the trimmings for the burgers.....watermelon fresh from the garden.....wife made a cheesecake, pound-cake, M&M cookie cake and a chocolate delight.

Today was leftovers at lunch.

We had to make a drug store run for the wife's thyroid dope so we grabbed a small supper at our Mexican joint. I tried their fried steak fajita tacos...good stuff.

Frozen dairy dessert, ice cream with so much stuff in it they can't legally call it ice cream anymore. Before that was mac and cheese with a bag of Sriracha Style Bacon Jerky chopped up added to it. Lunch was another bowl of mac and cheese, but with a bunch of sliced hot jalapenos in it. Yum, and yum. IIRC, I didn't eat breakfast because I had other things to do.
