Not sleeping real well....

Not because of work, elk season opens on my 40th bday, and I can't wait.  I have a hunters choice tag and it is also good for rifle.  So I have a month to get with in arrow range or I will get one if I can get with in 300 yards.

Not yet, processing quarters  this morning.  Not a super big bull, but he tuanted me.  I was about 30 yards away and he had the nerve to turn almost perfectly broad side.   I could not let him get away with that.  Ran about 120 yards after the shot.  I was a tiny bit high and missed the heart, but I got a very clean double lung shot. Arrow went clean thru breaking 2 ribs on its way in and out.  5 mile pack out.  Took 4 trips.
