They are like Twitter. I have not found any news "feeds" as of yet. I don't think it will be any more reliable as it will be only as reliable as the person posting it. MeWe has groups and feeds. I just got on that so time will tell.

The Epoch Times is reporting that Amazon is suspending Parler from it's web hosting service at midnight Sunday Jan. 10.

Apple and Google said they were suspending Parler because of violent content just before this.  A coordinated attack according to the Epoch Time article.

So it's OK for Twitter, Youtube, etc. to have terrorist violent content and Iranian state hate speech.   But when conservatives voices are spoken they are to be silence.  Truly, we are the "others" that Michael Bane has been preaching to us for some time now.

So...I was needing a new phone.  No Apple for me...I'lm going Samsung.  Google I don't use anyway, I use Duckduckgo.  Time to dump Amazon.

Parler was so busy on their servers it took me three days of off/on trying to finally get through.

@ChuckGoins is me.  8)

As far as browsers go, if you want to get rid of Firefox and Google Chrome because of the tracking and privacy issues, there are others that are way more anonymous. A friend told me about one called Tor and I'm trying it out. It's a little slower than Chrome, but that's probably because they "wash" your tracking info so you always show to info trackers as basically online with no identity. Their default search engine is DuckDuckGo.

Parler is a replacement for Twitter.  I wasn't big on Twitter, and while I have a Parler account, I haven't checked it in 2 months.

MeWe is a replacement for FaceBook.  There i'm holding forth a few others.

Been using both Brave and DuckDuckGo as browsers lately.   Got the end-of-the-year Google tracking info and while it was cool to see all the places I'd been in 2020, it was also very scary to know that "they" knew too.
