I think masks are very important. I'm just pissed off by people who don't understand that. Today I met such a person. I went to the supermarket to buy groceries. I was in the fruit and vegetable department, picking apples. Not far from me stood a woman and also was picking up some fruit in a bag. At some point she started coughing. She coughed for a long time and very loudly, that I paid attention to her. I return to her and see that she took off her mask and coughed without it. I was just shocked. I started yelling at her, asking what she was doing, why she wasn't wearing a mask. So she told me that she was uncomfortable coughing in a mask. I was so angry that I was ready to hit her. It is good that a security guard of the store soon approached and forced her to leave the supermarket. I am still shocked by this situation.
You do realize that these "masks ' are as effective as using a chain-link fence to stop mosquitos.
This (IMHO) has nothing to do with the spread of the virus, which can be controlled with simple distance and washing one's hands, it has to do with pushing control of people.
If you are that uncomfortable around people not wearing masks, stay away from them. Even the "Government" states 6 ft and you are safe. My wife is a nurse and I have also spoken to my doctors. Both agree the masks are not needed to control this. Ever wonder why the count of flu cases has gone to zero while Covid-19 has skyrocketed? They are counting what would normally be flu deaths are other death due to co-morbid's' and counting them as Covid-19. The ONLY reason I can see
for inflating the numbers this way is to raise the fear levels in the country.
Of course, you do have full right to form your own opinion (for now at least) but if you think all of this hoopla is only because to the virus I believe we will have to agree to disagree.
