Bit coin fall out.
« on: November 16, 2022, 08:33:04 AM »
who didn't see this coming?   You had major Asian powers cracking down on mining and forbidding its use, pretty much every western country  trying to control it for tax purposes.

Now people are under investigation...

I know several people that lost 2 zeros off thier net worth this month.  I tried to tell them to sell it when it hit 40, than 50 and finally 60k.

I wish I could say I am shocked,  but I am really not.  I am so glad I never got sucked into the hype.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

I installed mining software on my pc but after 3 months I had only netted .70 cents not .70 coin, but .7 cents.  Either I lack  the horse power or my anti-viral sw was interfering so I quit running the program.

There was a window to make money on this thing.

Ultimately no government is going to allow any kind of "currency" they cannot control.

I am hearing two stories on this:

1. This guy used liquid assets to invest outside cryptocurrency and was not liquid enough to cover the run on his bank when panic hit.

2. He spent huge sums on politicians to get legislation that would benefit and protect him against all competition.

Would really like to know full truth, and how much of what happened in the collapse was caused by politician corruption and how much by government sabotage.

<snip> how much of what happened in the collapse was caused by politician corruption and how much by government sabotage.

He must have been outrageous in demands to the politicians.

Silly boy.
He thought he owned them.

I saw an analysis this AM (Redacted) where they made the point that FTX was set up and used to do exactly that - "regulate" crypto. We'll see if that happens.

He obviously forgot the adage that you never own a politician, you just rent them.
