If you've ever mounted a bayonet on your 16" barrel with a gas system designed for a 14.5" barrel, you know the bayonet ring ends up slapping the barrel as it flops around. The AR-15 Bayonet Lug Extender - Adapter brings the bayonet just far enough forward that the bayonet ring goes around the flash hider where it's supposed to be, and holds everything in place as solidly as it does on a 14.5" or 20" barrel. I saw mine today when I was looking for something else, and tossed it back in the box of accessories yet to be mounted.

Not bad.  You can do better.  It depends on what it is.  If it is a full auto then yes, it is good.  If it is nickel boron that's really good.
