Saw it on brand Tier One last night, and all I could do was drool and say "I wanna go, I wanna go, I wanna go ...!"

Looks like a blast!

Better get your app in today.  Strader says there's only about 10 slots left for 2009.

Hate to same something bad about Rhonda's can, but after seeing the show last night I knew there was going to be trouble with the bad bounce  :o

It was priceless.  On our squad, that technique worked out pretty well.  I had gone just before her, and the cans just...landed.  She couldn't get those cans to bounce like that again if she tried.

Unfortunately, I did not attend this years Pro-Am.  I had a conflict with another match and a training course at USSA, but I expect to attend next years match.

The format is pretty awesome and a lot of fun.  If you are interested, get your application in today!  This match is very nearly sold out.

I watched the Shooting USA spot last night (I record the series).  Those guys (Manny, especially - geez) made those stages look so easy!  Par times of 18-30 seconds seem like such a long time when you're doing the walkthrough.  It's amazing how accurate I am when air-gunning, but when the buzzer goes off... ::)

Like I said, one of the most fun matches ever.  It's worth your while.

Also, I had forgotten how hot it was.  The car thermometer read 111 on Saturday afternoon.  I must've blocked that from my memory...

OK ... I'm feeling like an idiot  :-[

Between projects in the home office I sent an e-mail on the web site ... I think I sent one to tech support and two or three where I was supposed to ... I think  :-[

Can't wait to get home and see what kind of response I get.  Thinking they will be overly kind, but shaking their heads over the idiot from the great white north  :-[

In my own defense ... we did get a foot of heavy wet snow over night, and as usual I was not ready for it.

Just got home and there was an e-mail from Phil.  He didn't indicate any issues for limits yet, and when I told him I needed to check for time off, etc.  he just said "see you in June!"

Should know by Tuesday P.M., so hopefully I will be headed to Tulsa in June.

You must be one of those top shooters.  I knew there some of you guys on here.  Anyway, Phil set up a pistol shoot for a trade organization I belong to and we had it last Friday.  Went real well...something a bit different...had the length/format/feel of a sporting clay shoot.  Took about 3 hours to run through 8 stages, two teams per stage.  Set up to shoot steel like the steel challenge on a beginner basis.  Not to rub it in, of course,....but I did take an XD9 home with me.

The great thing is that about 70% of the crowd went home with a new knowledge of handguns...which is great.  Several of the guys got to shoot some suppressed weapons...now there are a few of them planning on suppressor purchases.

We need to expose people to the various types of shooting....shooters who shoot shotguns may be intimidated by handguns due to ignorance.,...handgun owners are at times intimidated by AR's and AK's because they have never shot one.  This really hit home at the shoot...shotgunners, rifleman hunters were thrilled by the handgun after a couple of stages and some patient instruction by the USSA Range Officers.  Time to ask that neighbor down the street with the bird dogs to go to the range with you.....

Yea ... Right  :o

You understand the idea behind "special education" in public school?  You know the class where everyone gets a chance?  I'm the shooting version, but damn I have fun  ;D
