Just got home and there was an e-mail from Phil. He didn't indicate any issues for limits yet, and when I told him I needed to check for time off, etc. he just said "see you in June!"
Should know by Tuesday P.M., so hopefully I will be headed to Tulsa in June.
You must be one of those top shooters. I knew there some of you guys on here. Anyway, Phil set up a pistol shoot for a trade organization I belong to and we had it last Friday. Went real well...something a bit different...had the length/format/feel of a sporting clay shoot. Took about 3 hours to run through 8 stages, two teams per stage. Set up to shoot steel like the steel challenge on a beginner basis. Not to rub it in, of course,....but I did take an XD9 home with me.
The great thing is that about 70% of the crowd went home with a new knowledge of handguns...which is great. Several of the guys got to shoot some suppressed weapons...now there are a few of them planning on suppressor purchases.
We need to expose people to the various types of shooting....shooters who shoot shotguns may be intimidated by handguns due to ignorance.,...handgun owners are at times intimidated by AR's and AK's because they have never shot one. This really hit home at the shoot...shotgunners, rifleman hunters were thrilled by the handgun after a couple of stages and some patient instruction by the USSA Range Officers. Time to ask that neighbor down the street with the bird dogs to go to the range with you.....
