Walter45auto check out the Wilderness Tactical belts MB is always talking about.  They are on my to get list.  Whatever you do make sure you get a gun belt not a bigbox special.  I've had 2 leather dress gun belts for years and can carry a fully loaded Para P14 w/spare mag to a match, compete, stand around and BS and wear it home no problem.

Give a look to the Wilson Combat "Featherweight". I carry a commander sized gun in one and it works well for me. I like the protection for the safety lever that this holster provides. I ordered mine several years ago, the regular leather was out of stock, and the nice guy on the phone sold me the sharkskin model for the same price as the leather.

I have used a Milt Sparks Versa Max II for a couple years now, love it.  Conceals the pistol very well and is about as comfortable as you can get wearing a full size 1911.  Extremely well made.  Only downside is a very long wait to have one built, probably looking at about 6 months.

I have been using a Aker White Lightning or Classic 3 Slot open top (I've had it for a while and can't remember) for IDPA, as I live in a state that isn't that gun friendly for a CCW, using a Commander size 1911.  I do have a light shirt that I wear over it.  I did have a Galco similar to the 3 slot (?Pancake/FLETCH?) but the thumb snap was designed that the hammer had to be down.  The Aker I can carry C&L'd.  I have been looking at getting a Blade-Tech UCH IWB for it in the future.  The last IWB I had for it (don't remember mfgr/model) really didn't stay where I wanted it but it did hide most of the gun and the frame sat in a good spot to hide the rest with an untucked shirt.

I'm always weary of shoulder rigs.  I just don't like that I'm always pointing my weapon in the wrong direction while trying to get it out, mainly at MY arm.  Additionally it is nearly impossible to secure if the "baddy" wants to get your weapon.  A belt holster you can leverage your arm against the gun to keep it in place while a shoulder rig you can only clamp your arm down, not enough to keep a determined opponent from getting it.

Because of body type (pronounced FAT) I can't wear IWB holsters but I hear a lot of people brag on the Milt Sparks Summer Special and copies.

The Clipdraw is definitely not what I'm looking for here. I've got the Uncle Mike's Sidekick holster, and it doesn't work for me with that gun. I'll consider the Fist holsters. There's a few other IWB holsters I've been looking at for it.

On the High Noon ones, I'm trying to decide between the Down Under, the Tail Gunner, the Closing Argument, and the Tail Gate, If I decide on either of them.

Being rotund myself, I have no problem sharing a waistband with even a service revolver.  Thing is, I've been shrinking in waistband, so even my size 46 jeans have enough room for a traveling companion, though I can't take advantage of that fact.

I wore Wilson's Lo-Profile when I competed in IDPA with my CQB Compact. Worked great for CCW also.
