Russian Nagant Revolver. 79 bucks out the door.

Heard the trigger is rough but very reliable.

No pot metal either. If you can get to $200, your choices really improve.

Just my .02 cents.
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

I was going to suggest J&G but NOT THE NAGANT ! In order to unload it, (If you use the proper ammo which is expensive ) you need a dowel and a hammer. It will shoot another caliber (.32 I THINK, not sure off the top of my head ) but it is not very powerful. Bear in mind that even with the full power loads it was designed for it was never good for any thing but target shooting (accurate as heck ) and shooting dissidents in the head from close range.
If you want a Target pistol get the Nagant, For defense get pretty much anything else.

No nothing about the weapon, but I'm sure the guys could fill you in.  The ammo appears to be cheap as hell so that's a plus.

Good luck

I got a carbine version.... they are fun..... They are what the Russians used for sniper rifles during the war..... ballistically about the same as .308 or 30.06

You could deer hunt with them if you wanted, but the safety is a piece of junk and I would not trust it.

They are plentiful and can be found anywhere for about $70

Lots of luck on under $100.  Since you are going into the military, talk to your recruiter about becoming an armorer.  You will get a lot of training and experience.

We're talking about the Nagant PISTOL, 7.62 Nagant cal. You can get a replacement cylinder in .32ACP.
The Nagant pistol was odd because the 7.62 Nagant has the bullet seated BELOW the level of the case mouth which extends past the front of the cylinder. On cocking the cylinder cams forward pressing the case mouth into the rear of the barrel forming a seal. (Hence the flaring of the case mouth that makes reloading such a bear ) The Nagant revolver was the only revolver that actually COULD be suppressed.but as stated earlier, even by 1895 standards , while quite accurate it was considered underpowered.

The 7.62 X54R RIFLE cartridge is STILL used in the Russian military in some machine guns and the SVD "Dragonov" sniper rifle.

I was actually thinking about becoming an armorer when I joined the military due to the fact that I enjoy working with guns and the training will give me the info that I need to take it further who knows I might even choose it as a career but another choice I would choose when I join the military is the role of a sniper cause I have pretty good eyesight at long range and my marksmanship with rifles is pretty good at most ranges as long as it is a bolt action, I just simply prefer a bolt action rifle when shooting rifles thanks to their power and range and the rifle actually doesn't look half bad and might be a good buy, and I understand that I need to be 21 to buy the gun that is why I am waiting a while and by then who knows I might be in the military by then.
