At the end of this episode.  Rob was running the lady through 3 strings of fire.  The show only had two of the three.  Can Rob or someone please elaborate on what the second sequence was for the 1/2 second string of fire?  How was that counted?  What is the firing sequence?  Seeing the group sizes at what looked to be 10 yards was a great visual reference.

D-,

The first string of fire is 1 shot per second (one-one-thousand, two-one-thousand...).
Second string is 1 shot per half second (one and two and three......)
The last string of fire is 5 shots as fast as you can pull the trigger (1,2,3,4,5,)... should be less than 1.5 seconds for 5 shots.

The KEY is that the shooter MUST be in a perfect intuitive shooting position before they begin shooting, including having their finger touching the trigger.  This will allow the person to perfect their fundamentals through the first two strings and really see what they ar capable of, if they take the time to get the fundamentals right, in the 3rd string.

The counting on the second string was that part that was missing.  Thank you for the clarification.  Very good drill to use with any shooter.  Good reminder to have them in a shooting position as well.

Subject: The Best Defense

Hello Rob, Michael and Michael,

I've been watching The Best Defense since day one.
The last episode with Kim as a victom REALLY caught my wife's attention.
My wife has never watched any of the episodes before.
As a matter of fact my mother-in-law was watching also.
They were amazed at the show.

In the past my wife always thought it was a CCW show or something along those lines and was not interested at all.
My wife always thought it was a dude's show.

I would like to thank you all personally for having some self defense tactics for/with women on the show.

Thank you so much...
