They have leftovers like everyone else, so there wasn't a huge variety to choose from in things like typical hunting and pistol calibers. But other than a ton of shotgun and dangerous game ammo, there was also 5.56mm/.223, some .308 and 300 BLK, and Tula Ammo in "normal" calibers. Not all oddball stuff, but not like back when you could walk into a gun store and buy nearly any caliber you wanted either. These are the times we live in.

As long as people are willing to pay stupid high prices for ammo, other people will sell it for stupid high prices. It will start coming down later this year when the shelves start to fill up (and almost immediately empty out again I imagine) but it still won't be anywhere near the old "normal" for a long time, if ever. It is what it is.

Bought a brick of yellow jackets  today for 59.99.    I figured  why not. More than I thought it should be, but who knows if they even are going to make them.  Never the most accurate and didn't feed in everything, but they do a lot of damage when you hit something

I recently found a Wally World with a few of the 20ga. Federal bulk packs (100 rounds each). I bought two and wish I'd bought more. My cost before taxes was $0.23/round, which I consider a bargain these days, even for #7-1/2 shot low-brass 20ga.

At this point, buying ammo when you find it at a good price is like buying gold when it was $200/ounce. There's only one direction the price can go, at least for the next coupla' years. I don't have an AK, but I wish I'd bought a stack of AK mags and 7.62x39mm ammo when they were super-cheap and available everywhere. Oh, well.

if some one is willing to pay it, more power too them.   I just will remember  to not buy from them.

If I could get primers I would go shooting about twice a week.  I just can not get them and don't expect to be able too any time soon.  No point in shooting up my supply of ammo if there is no hope of replacing it.

Just so ya' know, colibrí is the Spanish word for hummingbird. Águila (eagle, BTW) makes their Colibri as a very low-powered .22LR ammo. They even caution against shooting it from long barrels, as it may or may not make it to the muzzle. Super Colibri has a pinch of powder. I've used that on squirrels at close range. A grand for a brick of Colibri? Buy an airgun and save a lot of money. I have words in Spanish I'd use, but I'm tryin' to keep this family friendly.

Anyone paying $1,000 for this stuff and thinking it's regular .22LR ammo is gonna be real disappointed! This is like the definition of caveat emptor.

Air Gun:  Yeah, one of the ones gaining favor is the Umarex Gauntlet PCP.   $325 from Pyramid Air in .25 caliber.  I've got 2 springers in .22 which are good for squirrels, rats and chips out to 20 yds.  Bunnies closer.   The .25 would up the range and give me raccoon  stopping power in the back yard.

Maybe I need to move my Aguila standard velocity stuff to a "safer" location......looks like it's now more valuable than gold (at least in the eyes of idiots).  ;D ;D ;D

I only paid $24 for a brick back in September.

I might need to buy a bigger safe for my CCI stuff.  8)
