Yes.   :(

I got an Email from PSA a while back, 800 rds of 22LR, $99.00    >:(
Not sure why it's so high either.
You CAN NOT make center fire cartridges on rim fire tooling so the over all demand isn't displacing 22 production.

$5.00 a box is cheap, I saw a guy at a gun show recently that was asking $150.00 for a brick of 500 Winchester .22 ,stuff that used to go for $15.00 on sale. And there were idiots paying it.

And they wonder why people have no money.

$5/50rd is CCI's MSRP on their Standard Velocity product.  Their Target Mini-Mag (copper plated) is $12/100rd.  Availability comes and goes, check daily on their web site.

How many in one of those little "sleeve" boxes, 100 Same LGS had them $10/ box.
From what the lady said , this over priced stuff isn't coming from distributers at high prices.
It's coming from her husbands gun safe at whatever the market will bear.
That's what pisses me off,
They aren't charging a little mark up on $12/ box of 22's.
They are raping people on ammo they bought for $2 a box.
I'm not PLANNING on buying another gun, (wasn't planning on the last one either.   ;D  )
But I would REALLY like to find a different FFL who isn't a gouging SOB.

On that same note,
Did you know there is an "FFL Registry" ?
I don't know if it is "ALL" local FFL's or just the ones registered with distributers, but it made interesting reading.   ;D
It goes by  Zip Code.

small pistol primers are going for $100/1000 here in the Tampa Bay area and pretty much unobtanium... large pistol easier to find... I've loaned out 5000 small primers to competition shooting friends, but haven't shot my AR9 PCC since Covid..... $100/1000 for rimfire but usually available so I'll stick with Steel Challenge for a while, but a match is minimum of 150 rounds if you don't miss  8)

I find it a relaxing endeavor, especially rim fire.  No holster or belt.  Dress casually leave shirt tail out.  My goal is to classify in al 13 divisions.  So far 4.  Revo iron, RF rifle both iron and optic and RF pistol iron.  Next up will be RFPistol Optic.  Then, probably Single Stack.  Then using my P320; Production & Limited.  Add an optic I'll  do Open and CO.  Didn't say I'd be good, just havin' fun.  That'll take a year.  Maybe by then I'll have a PCC.

Maybe by there will be more ammo.
