Yeah that wouldn't be my favorite round.  If I had a need for something like that I'd go with my 44 mag integrally suppressed Ruger and a 320 or larger grain bullet for 2X the power.  Which, by the way, work great on deer.

Hell yeah. That's like a modern take on the DeLisle carbine isn't it? Do you have a Silent Destroyer?

Nope.  I have the granddaddy, a Higgins S&H Arms design from the Tulsa area.   When Ruger first made the 77/44 they made a lot....and sold very few.  Curtis Higgins (S&H Arms) bought a pile of them for "nothing" and started converting them.

Curtis was a machinist for American Airlines who loved guns.  He made a lot of money on auto sears.  He made hundreds of the things right before Reagan's illegal machine gun edict went into place.  They were well made, heat treated and registered with the ATF just days before the window closed on them.  I don't remember what he initially sold them for...but in 2018 they were $1,600 and it didn't cost him squat to make them....a really smart move.

Very cool. It says he also made suppressed Ruger lever action 96/44 rifles. He may have gotten a bunch of those cheap too. I never heard anyone say they bought a 96/44, and don't think they sold very well.

Winchester 12ga 2.75" 9 Pellet 00 Buck Shotshell Ammunition 5rds - XB1200. $9.99 $3.49, $0.70 per round clearance price at PSA. I just ordered 50 boxes. I thought bout getting 100 boxes, but that's a hefty chunk of change all at once. And the UPS guy will get a break by only having to lug one case around instead of two. :)  My price after 6% state sales tax, shipping, and optional shipping protection, is $4.28 a box, or $.86 per round delivered. That's a whole lot better than the list price of 2 bucks a pop. It got 13 5* reviews, and one 4* review by someone who said, "Great buy This is great buy go’s bang every time!"

My shipping label has been created and UPS says it's 25.80 pounds of ammo. :)  That makes me smile.

Thanks, Frank....
I get an almost daily email from PSA, but I've missed several due to family health issues and unplanned travels...... I just ordered some for myself. I have a ton of 00 Buck in stock, but a few more can't possibly hurt.  ;D  ;D

You're welcome. I don't normally get their email but did because I signed up to win a free gun somewhere and was automatically subscribed. Then when I got emails from all the sponsors of the contest I looked at them and unsubscribed as usual. But this time I saw something I wanted, which I very rarely do.

I also forgot to post something last year about the Freedom Munitions .380 ACP 95 grain, and .45 ACP+P 200 and 230 grain X-DEF HPs that a Torx screwdriver bit fits into. X-DEF HOLLOW POINTS are all Speer Gold Dot bullets, or made just like them. I don't remember them showing pictures of expanded bullets on the site when I bought them, and one day I shined my flashlight down in one of the hollowpoints and saw the little hexagonal dot. Here's a picture or the .380 that shows it quite clearly. By the way, they're $22.44 for 50 rounds, and Speer Gold Dots that weigh 5 grains less, and are listed at 10 fps lower velocity are $38.99  for 20 rounds. That's $.45 a pop vs. $1.95! :o You can pay 4 1/3 times more for Gold Dots if you want to, but I'm not.
