Smoke'em if ya got'em...ammo availability

I stopped at Cabela's in Rapid City, SD, Scarborough, ME, Sidney, NE and Reno, NV. They had defensive ammo available but I haven't had a problem getting that stuff mail order from them with fairly short wait times so I didn't buy any as I have a pretty good supply on hand.

I was more interested in plinking ammo. I managed to pick up a little over a 1000 rounds in .380, 9 mm and .45 from the various Walmarts that I stopped at. I'll have to take another trip when I use this up.

I did think about Kittery Trading Post and was going to stop there on the way out of Maine but for some reason I forgot. I have shopped there in the past.

 I know Portsmouth very well, it's where I enlisted in the Marines in 77, My Grandmothers family had been in that town since the 1800's, I lived in Hampton and Exeter for about 6 years.

I remember when we used to drive to Newington just to go to Taco Bell as there weren't any in Maine at the time. How things/times change!

WOW, My ex used to like to do that, from Rochester NH, We may have been in line together  , Thing that baffled ME was, She was FROM Ca. (why I ended up there) She KNEW what REAL Mexican food was and she STILL ate that crap, even when we got out to Ca.
How can Taco Bell POSSIBLY stay in business out there ?

I just shot everything I had last night except for my JHP carry ammo.  Now the hunt begins, the shelves around here are a bit bare, might be heading north, or south, or southwest.....Riley's maybe, good Fathers Day trip!

Wally World in north Round Rock, TX had .22 LR 550 count Federal box for $13, white box 9mm, .40, 44 magnum, and .38 special.  Also had boxes of Winchester 15 count hollow point 12 gauge slugs for $8, cheapest I've ever seen.  They got at least 6 boxes of every thing, as of noon today.  No .45 ACP, never f$@%ing do!!!
