That's a pretty "pair" ,........ ::),............of ,....uh,.. rifles Marshal'ette,. ;)

Back to the OP, it would seem that the only thing from keeping terrorists from entering the cockpit is a pretty little "lock?

What kind of BS is that?  >:(

to hire more supervisory staff, who will engage in field inspections of pilots.

How's that "field" inspection going to go at 15,000 feet with another group of homicidal/suicidal terrorists, hell bent on killing all the men, women, children, they can, you stupid rat bastard m*&^#@ f*&^@#?................... >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Words come to mind to carry on, but decorum prohibits me from adding anything further.....

I was never a fan of the program, as some one that flys several times a year, I don't want bullets flying my direction.  Also do to all the changes,( all around, inculding the public)  The only way a plane is going to get taken over now is if there are more terrorist then flyers.

The only really safe shooting angle is a steep upward one.  If you actually look at the idea, you will see its a "feel good" measure rather then one that actually works.

Maybe, the reason no group has attempted another "hijacking" is a combination that the passengers will just beat them, AND that the pilot/co-pilot would come out and just shoot them, or an ARMED Air Marshall will what?......SHOOT THEM!

Glad this was released "quietly",  at least Al-Quaeda or Hamas, or some dumb-ass shoe bomber won't know.... :-X

I don't want terrorists on MY PLANE!!!

Uh, over the last 8 years, I'd say a small reason was it was a deterrent.

Now that's gone. and it will be up to you TAB to beat them up good!

twyacht I totally agree.

If it comes down to me and other passengers having to fight tooth and nail to stop a hijacker vs. an armed crew, I will vote for the armed crew 100% of the time. I don't see a raging 40 minute firefight in the air. So lets see...crashing at 600 miles an hour into the ground or a skyscraper vs. a magazine at most of 40SW (most being absorbed by BGs)? Hmmmmm let me think about that.....NOT.

But our government says let them all die in a crash. I believe they may want such things to happen. Rahm's oft quoted phrase "that a crisis is a terrible thing to waste" shows how this administration thinks.

MAJOR friggin surprise.

heaven forbid some one look at somethinged with unbiased eyes... Even the NTSB  said it was a waste of thier time and money, they only did do to offical requests from congress/white house.   There were only a couple airlines that would even let thier pilots in the program, ( I want to say there was 3, but its been awhile) the rest said no.
