My favorite firearm that I own is a toss up between my blued 4" 1969 Colt Python, in pristine all original condition and a safe queen, or my 5" Nighthawk Custom 1911, 100% Heine specked with Diamond Black finish.  My Colt M4 is right there as well.

I'd love to own a Barrett 98 Bravo .338 Lapua one day as well as a WWII Luger...... :)

Here are a few of my Nighthawk Custom Talon specked out 100% as per Richard Heine's Nighthawk series.  The test target provided by Nighthawk is 3 rounds at 15 yards.  I only have photos from when I first purchased the gun a year and a half ago, but it is in exactly the same condition now despite carrying it constantly.  If there is a better finish than Diamond Black I would love to see it as not a single mark or holster wear is evident.

Also, the Heine Slant Pro Straight Eight Night Sights are tremendous and by far the best sights I have ever used.  The eye naturally picks up 2 vertical dots over three horizontal dots much quicker...simply build a snowman with the head of the snowman being your target point.  Extremely accurate and the added feature of having the front night sight glow brighter than the rear night site is very helpful in acquiring and focusing on the front sight in low light conditions.  I would highly recommend Heine's sights without reservation.

Very nice, CDR. I particularly like the way the muzzle is crowned.

I've already posted my #1.....but here is my very close choice for second.....I've bonded with it almost as much as the Series 70...

Almost...... ;)

Thanks Peg.....the Nighthawk shoots even better than it looks.

I like your Colt......did the gun come with stippling or did you have it done later on?  Nice!!

Thanks. It cost a bundle to do.   ;)

It's non-skid tread tape for stairs and doorsteps (basically skateboard tape). Got it at Lowe's for like $5.00 for a 8" x 24" sheet. Very sticky. Just cut it to fit, cleaned the front strap with denatured alcohol and stuck it on. It's held up for over 5 years, and I still have plenty for when it needs replacing. Also cut out a set of side panels for a friends Glock 22.
