I think FQ13 is doing the right thing by asking for advice here.  I personally hate gun reviews.
How often do you ever read a bad gun review?  If the reviewer ever wants to test another gun(for free),
he better not be to critical.  Remember, shooters don't have time to write and writers don't have time to
shoot (present company excluded, MB) ;)

I like anything in the S&W M&P family. Can't wait for mine to get here. I have a "Spec-Ops" on the way.
Threaded barrel...........Guess what's coming next?!!!! ;D

Uh, A Q-32 Explosive Space Modulator from ACME Inc.? ;)

I Love my M+P .40, its not a compact, but even here in S. Fl. I can make it disappear. ::)

Had a chance to "fondle" one of these at the show today, felt solid, nice grip angle. Sights are simple, not overbearing, and right around $400.00. PT145. Not too shabby. 10+1. 45ACP.

Thanks, that looks interesing. It also makes me wonder for the 99th time why ruger didn't build the LCP in 9mm or .45. If they had I'd own one now. Oh well, any one have any experience with taurus compacts? I've heard good things about their 19 clones but not much about a dao pistol from them.

1911 Junkie "I personally hate gun reviews"

The reviews are done by us on this forum and there is a tab at the top of the page for it. Anyone can give a review. One of the reviews I read enticed me to buy the Smith and Wesson M&P when I thought I would no longer buy S&W firearms. I am glad I read the review and tried the M&P out.

I'm talking about the "professional"(read paid) gun reviewers. Not the people on here.
I value the opinions on firearms here higher than anywhere else.........well...except maybe Badger. ;D

I would exempt Gun Tests from that list.

Do your self a favor and look at the compact S&W M&P. If you like the Glock you should love the M&P it is a much improved version of the Glock in my opinion. I sold my Glock model 22 after purchasing a M&P .40.

I concur on the M&P. But I still won't give up my Glocks.
