I agree, that door knob should have known better!!!  But, has anyone ever seen Rich Davis of "Second Chance" body armour shoot himself point blank with a .44 mag while wearing one of his own vests?  The tape I saw also shows him standing on one foot being shot with a .223 (he had a military quality vest on) to prove you don't get knocked off your feet when shot like they show in the movies!  Some think him certifiable!

FWIW

Richard

I used to OWN this video...I've been missing it.  Rich Davis sounds JUST LIKE Tim Conway.

Wow, that's a blast (literally) from the past.

Years ago we tested my old vest out at the shooting range when no one else was around.

45 ACP FMJ, stopped with no penetration throught any layers of kevlar.
45 ACP Hollowpoint, stopped with no penetration throught any layers of kevlar.
45 ACP Magsafe, through the front out the back, penetrated all layers of kevlar.

22-250 rifle, through the front out the back, penetrated all layers of kevlar.
22-250 rifle, through the front out the back, penetrated all layers of kevlar and 1/8 steel plate insert

Bullet resistant I believe would be the correct term.  I think any way you say it, its still use at your own risk.  Even seat belts can't protect you in certain crashes.

Have a friend that is retired military with lots of friends still in the military.  They tested an older vest against the FN 5.7x28 round that is avaiable for military only.  They put the vest on a pig for the test.  The FN 5.7x28 penetrating round for military applications went through the vest, through the pig, and through the vest on the other side of the pig.  They had a great pig roast afterwards.

Where as the Yahoo's started out with "Hold my beer, watch this".

Reminds me of the difference between a northern fairy tale and a southern fairly tale.  Northern fairy tales starts out, "Once upon a time........", while the southern fairy tale begins with, "Y'all ain't gonna believe this shit............."
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!
