What do you think of this ammo? Will this ammo work like they say on there web sight? Will it stop an intruder without passing through into other rooms in the house?

There's another company out there who makers simlar claims, Extreme Shock. (Not the most jury friendly name out there. How about scallawags-be-gone, has a better ring to it ;)). Anway same deal, frangible tungsten easy on the furniture etc. If Rob or any body out there is reading I'd be curious because I live in a VERY closely packed subdivision. http://www.extremeshockammo.net/tactical.asp

I asked Rob Pincus about this in one of my first posts on DRTV and here is his reply:

Ping,

The claims made about this ammo are definitely intriguing. I haven't tested it myself and have no reason to doubt the claims of the manufacturers. I spoke with them at length at SHOT and hope to work out some first hand testing this year some time. If I get the chance to do it, I would certainly document and share the results in one form or another (article, Blog, TBD, etc....)

Thanks for watching.

-RJP

I forgot to get back with Rob to see if he was able to check it out.

Buy some in 9mm and test them out. Let us know the results. It would be great if they live up to the marketing.

DRT didn't post prices on their site but Extreme Shock wants the modest price $80 per 20. Maybe chip in and send to someone whos set up to test them like boxotruth? Cause I'm gonna assume they'll shoot staight, just not what happens when they hit the water jugs and the dry wall. I'm not equipped to test that (though it would be fun).

They have prices click around for them. $49.50 for a box of 50 in 9mm...out of stock wouldn't you know.
