This has to be posted. Kid Rock, I respect. Because you never know what you're going to get, rap, metal, punk, straight up country or Southern Rock. To me, this is the sign of an artist who gets it. Screw formats, play what works! I wish our radio stations would clue in. This is All Summer Long and Skynnered couldn't have done it better. ;D

Let me state clearly and unequically for the record: I have never heard of the group that put this video togehther. I do not endorse nor condemn their acts or agenda as I just don't know enough to render judgement. I do know that Jim Broussard encountered a Reno bar that had the US flag flying below a larger Mexican flag. He cut the US flag down and nonsense ensued. Again, I don't know his views, beliefs or agenda and I will not associate myself with him until I learn more. This is not a condemnation, nor a dodge, its just a recognition that the internet is a tricky place and you don't want to associate yourself with something that looks good at first glance and then turns out to be something else entirely on second glance. That being said, another Kid Rock tune that I and I think most members here can get behind. Take it for what its worth, caveat emptor, and I do not see as racist and condemn racism. I think the video puts the blame squarely on the shoulders of those who profit from division, be it Wal-mart or Al Sharpton.

Ok ...

Old fart test here, How many remember this?

Found it trying to find the political satire that sampled it for Nixon and Kissenger.

I'm getting old. I remember that song but not the video.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Letter to Alexander Hamilton, Friday, May 02, 1783

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

An oldie but a goodie. A Civil War tune from the South, and one my many times Great Uncle Sullivan fought to. The ballad of The Irish Brigade. Beir B'hua! ;D

As I might have mentioned before, I miss Austin. ;D Anyhow, this is a Rebel version of The Yellow Rose of Texas. Screw PC, I really don't care. I hope y'all enjoy it, a classic for a reason.

Indeed, BUT a great example of why a man needs to know his limitations. He was great with a brigade or division, not so much with an army. Still, he did kick ass and took names.
