I'm with You 1911Junkie
I never have acquired a taste for coffee and since I saw what happened when coffee drinkers didn't get their morning cup(cups?) I figured Tea was the way to go.

SOOOOOOOOOOOO TRUE!  You do NOT want to be around me in the morning if there is no coffee!!

Don't know for sure but I believe that there is more caffeine in tea by volume, than coffee....

I DO know that the longer you roast a coffee bean, the LESS caffeine it has...

I was raised in a "TEA" drinking family - English - and never acquired a taste for coffee or tea.  Used to drink 2 + cans of Pepsi a day to get my caffeine.  Not a coffee snob just a snob!!!!!

Some people have to have their coffee before you can talk to them. I know the type Haz.

from Haz,
SOOOOOOOOOOOO TRUE!  You do NOT want to be around me in the morning if there is no coffee!!
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."

Was a Folger's Columbian fan till my wife got me to try the 8 Oclock. Love that stuff but enjoy an occasional cup of Irish breakfast tea and a spot of milk.

Tim,

I'm a bit of a coffee snob ;) , too.

Gotta be fresh ground beans (grind 'em your self is the only way).  CLEAN the damn pot between brews.

8 o'clock is good.  Right now I am buying at GFS and using either 100% columbian or Italian roast.

Usually make it in a regular drip type but French press is good.  My GF bitches if I do it that way cause she read somewhere that 'press' type coffe is the worst for you in terms of cancer (don't ask me, just tellin' ya what she says ::) ).

I drink 2 to 3 pots (12 cup pots) a day).

You have GOT to be shi**ing  me?

Coffee Snob??

I drink about 1 pot a year.
My wife used to drink about 4 pots a day, but is down to about 2........ no sugar, just light cream.

Sweet tea is the un-leaded drink of choice.

I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

OH MY!  I missed that!  Brings back memories of my dear old Ma & Pa and the nasty freeze dried Folgers crap of the 60's & 70's.... :P

You had it good. My mom used to get Taster's Choice.  I tried it once. I'm thinking the "Taster" involved was playing an April Fools joke.
Anti: I think some of you gentleman would choose to apply a gun shaped remedy to any problem or potential problem that presented itself? Your reverance (sic) for firearms is maintained with an almost religious zeal. The mind boggles! it really does...

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.
