I took the time today after work to go and check out the Springfield Armory XDM. I do like the ergonomics but did not like the trigger pull. Trigger pull, hole on top to show a round in the chamber, choice of safety or not, and adjustable backstraps helped me choose a Smith and Wesson M&P 9C for my wife. She had issues with anticipating recoil with the Glock and would jam it up. Another reason why I chose a Smith before getting her a Ruger LCP.

Everyone:

Today, I purchased the SA 40 Cal XD-M.  The gun has a totally different fell when compares to the XD or the Glock.   I found the feel to be superior. In ten days, I will be able to bring it home.

I think you'll be very happy with your new sidearm. Enjoy!  :)
Anti: I think some of you gentleman would choose to apply a gun shaped remedy to any problem or potential problem that presented itself? Your reverance (sic) for firearms is maintained with an almost religious zeal. The mind boggles! it really does...

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

Everyone:

I will let everyone know the 411 on my purchase after I pick up the gun in 10 business days.  Appartenly, it is taking 10 days to process the NIC and state paperwork in Maryland.

Recently purchased an XD subcompact in 40 S&W.  Had the opportunity to take it to the range prior to purchase.  I really liked the trigger as some have that long pull before firing.  Not so with the XD.  I have large hands so the mag extension gives me great control. This is my primary concealed carry weapon and with the Blackhawk Sherpa holster you don't even know its on your hip. Hope this helps you in your decision making.

Everyone:

I picked up my XDM - 40 cal on Friday.  I must say those of you that recommended the XDM over a Glock were absolutely correct. This gun is amazing. It has a perfect grip and the 40 cal ammon price is not that bad.   I thank everyone for the great recommendations.

Now, I need to buy the 9mm.  Is there a market for unused CZ-75B?

Thanks
John
