OK guns clean as a whistle ready to whamma jamma...BUT...
A word to the wise to any one with a Ruger DA revolver....never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, did I say ever, play with the trigger assembly whilst out of the frame of the revolver.
As a design/mfg engineer with a curiosity for all things mechanical, cool and generally over my head, I just spent a half hour on my knees on a burber carpet searching, nay HOPING that the pawl spring that just exited the assembly at high velosity could be found and properly reinserted into it's proper position inside the assembly.
Thankfully, I have ten fingers, half a brain and the dogged determination and where-with-all to put the friggin thing back together again. What started out as a good cleaning, mechanical check and function test turned into a nightmare that only one whos actually done something that stupid can really appreciate.
Maybe Ruger can insert a warning in their manual that states simply
"Hey Dumbass, don't touch that"....
I'm feeling much better now.....
