This is just an example of more fiscal silliness seen nationwide.  If you, as a local government entity, are unable to fund the simplest of services, you might need to disband the city/borough/town/etc. and start again a point one.

I know if I am making less this year I need to spend less this year.  It's a simple, but overlooked concept, especially in government type circles.

You notice the supervisor's response...it went something like "he wasn't supposed to say anything and what he said was more than what we cut". It's the DA's strategy to cause the public to raise an outcry against the supervisors to look elsewhere to cut. They'll probably raise taxes now. I wonder if there is a tax initiative on an upcoming ballot?
You now what'll happen. Some storeowner will defend himslf and get arrested for it. And sued by the "victim".
