Though I don't recall the whole week anymore....I attended this when I was in the Navy in N. CA......pretty much slept where ever I was...got up and started all over again...Oakland Coliseum

Day On The Green #3: Aerosmith, Foreigner, Pat Travers, Van Halen, AC/DC (July 23, 1978) This was the first U.S. tour for Van Halen.

Day On The Green #4: The Rolling Stones, Santana, Eddie Money, Peter Tosh (July 26, 1978)
Bill Graham had a huge 'Lip & Tongue' Stones Logo built as the stage for this show on Mick Jagger's birthday. As the Rolling Stones finally came on stage 2+ hours after Santana finished playing, two helicopters flew around the stadium dropping blowup dolls and ping-pong balls stamped with the stones tongue logo into the crowd. As everyone looked up to the sky, the Stones appeared out of nowhere, playing Let it Rock from the tongue of the stage.

I have to assume I had a good time... ;D

I saw Christopher Cross last summer in a lounge at the Carlyle in Manhattan and he was outstanding.

My personal favorites have been:

RUSH, anywhere and anytime.

Kansas, being from Kansas and all.

Almost any live band that REALLY loves to play live. One group I saw in college was a band called Nexxus (I think) out of Canada. All percussion, mostly mallet stuff and they were really awesome.

and Tim McGraw, because I got to play golf with his drummer, and then go on stage and check out his kit before the show.

Just when I was starting to like you. :-\

I don't think that type of music will actually play in your new car. ;)
