Have'nt been to that many concerts. I have a problem with large crowds, especially large drunk crowds.
Actually, it might be an ammo and capacity problem. ;)

Been to Garth a couple times, great show.
Have also been to see Charlie Daniels Band, Mellencamp, Billy Joel and probably some I can't recall.

The best are the elevators at work. Sometimes I just ride for hours listening to the music, waiting for
The Pincus to show up so we can jam together. ;D

My personal favorites have been:

RUSH, anywhere and anytime.

I didn't think he was doing the "Rush To Excellence Tour" anymore.      ;D
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

My name is Rob and I like late-70's/early-80's soft rock & easy listening music.

Find a twelve step program in your area Rob...  I think Seals and Croft are running one these days.  ;D

This will pass with age and wisdom in knowing there is NO GOOD rock and roll after 1979.  This is why I listen to nothing but the blues..... 8)

p.s.  your a good sport for a young'un..... ;)

IRON MAIDEN! I saw them the first time in '83 and most recently, last May. It's a big show. Metallica came in close in the late 80's. By the way, last Tuesday was Maiden Day. I hope everyone had a great Maiden Day.

I saw Pathfinder's ears rang. The Scorpions did that to me, but after a Blue Oyster Cult concert, mine bled. I wear plugs now.

Rush was the first concert I ever went to and they'd be high on the list. I saw Stevie Ray Vaughn open for Huey Lewis and the News and he ripped them one. The next night I saw X and they be at the top also.

Notable mention would go to a New Orleans local band, Bryan Lee & the Jump Street Five (blind blues guitarist). When I worked with Nissan Racing, I saw him in '91 at Ye Olde Absinthe - still have the tape they sold at the show. This was a great show.

Another notable mention goes to The Greyboy Allstars.

One of Jimmy Buffet's big stops every tour is here in Irvine as it was also one for the Grateful Dead. I don't go for the "funny smoke" concerts.

I don't think that type of music will actually play in your new car

If they don't come down on the price, I can demand the entire Time Life Soft Rock of the 70's collection be pre-loaded onto the harddrive!

That made me laugh really loud.....Haz know all the right words to say.............

Only been to a few concerts......

Charlie Daniels
Hank Williams, Jr. (after he sobered up...touring with Skynyrd)
Lynyrd Skynyrd (3 times from '90 on. I wasn't old enough when the original line-up was playing...if I only had a time machine)
ZZ Top (touring with Skynyrd)

I used to be a bar hound......(every weekend)......I love to hear good live music.
Saw Dr. Hook one weekend in a bar in Valdosta along with Widespread Panic.
There used to be a band from Florida that I'd go see called 'Eli'...damn good cover band.
Saw Ricky Medlocke (Blackfoot, Skynyrd) in a bar with a group he threw together for a weekend gig.
Derek Trucks and Warren Haynes (Allman Bros., Gov't Mule) played a outdoor gig in a big pecan grove about 30 miles from here as a benefit for a guy that was sick. Those guys jammed all day and then again that night.

Always wanted to see Pink Floyd, Iron Maiden, Willie Nelson, B.B King, George Strait, and....way too many to list.
Just hate the crowds.

Best Live Act:

  • Rush
Was sensational live!  The R30 tour was a blast!

Best Concert:

  • Slayer
At the Blue Note; Columbia, MO in 1998 pre- "Diabolus in Musica" tour.  Small club (maybe 1,200 seats) and this LOUD band rocked the fudge outta it!

Been to Frontier Days a time or 3 in Cheyenne, Wy. Been lucky enough to see George Strait, and got to meet Kicks Brooks and Ronnie Dunn at the adult beverage stand at the rodeo. By far Chris LeDouex has put on the best show &  music at a concert in my humble opinoin. ( I am old enough to remember the Georgia Satellites , I think Peg might have been in the band   ;D)
There is room for all of God's creatures ....., That would be on my plate right next to the taters and gravy.
