I'm not much of a concert goer.  I went to Boston back in the late 70's and was sorry.  We were taken to the Oak Ridge Boys in 80, after our wedding and had a good time.  A couple years ago I surprised Audrey with the Oak Ridge Boys at the local casino, and they are just as good 30 years later.

I enjoy the local bands at the local bar as much as anything.  However, with the smoking bans up here all the small bands are quitting.  As was explained to me by a member yesterday, it isn't any fun working 50 hours a week and then going to a bar to play for 17 people.  They still do a birthday party or wedding now and then, but the regular things are no more.  And, we are seeing a lot of that.  It is hard to take a bike ride and come across a live band in the parking lot any more.

Bauhaus in Boston. The Cure in Chicago. Pink Floyd in Indianapolis. Ramones in Indy. Social Distortion in Cincinatti.

Several Lollapalooza's and Van's Warped Tour provided great opportunities to see a ton of great bands.

Now if I could just see Ted Nugent in concert???

Buy the shirts and sell them on Ebay for a profit!!! Thanks BAC on the comment. I would have to admit that the tightest show I have ever seen was Helmet at the Vogue in Indianapolis. Indy is where I have to go to see some culture. That is with the exception when Black Flag came to Kokomo, Indiana and I helped them set up at the ISIS Theater in 1985 and met Henry Rollins and Greg Ginn.
