Seeing how I was born in 69, The Gen "X" ers,....were/are a two fold generation. There were losers back than, that grew up to be loser parents, with Gen "Y" loser children.
HOWEVER, the other fold are those who did not "fry" all their brain cells and work hard everyday, love this country, and participate in an active part in politics, community, church, and above all learning from previous generations that were frankly better than ours fightingquaker.
What happened before I was born is RELEVANT to today's political, and cultural climate. Look how fast it's all gone down hill in 40 years.
My parents were baby boomers, grandparents were/are considered the "Greatest Generation" lessons from my Grandfather, Grandmother, and my parents, made me a better person today. (hopefully). Studying history, realizing when the SHTF it reveals character. Many today don't and will never have it.
Why do I post great historical quotes: Because they knew than what trouble this country would be in if we abandoned our previous generations values...
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
John Stuart Mill (1806 - 1873)
but I thought others would like you to know that your opinions are not shared by everyone from your generation. (Their may be hope for us yet.) Grin
