Correct, Fuel and electrical components have Japanese writing all over them. In fact Honda and Kawasaki are made in America and have been for years, I believe both plants are in Wisconsin.

Honda's V-Twin bikes are made in their factory in Marysville, Ohio....or at least they were.......

I'm betting the "Made in USA" tags sewn into clothing these days are probably made in China or Vietnam...... ::)
Is the label made in America or the shirt?

Some years back I tried to go one week buying nothing but American made products.  I found that it was nearly impossible!

Shame on the NRA....!

Any of you fellas think your Harleys are 100% American made?  You'd be wrong!
It's very difficult to find some products that are made in America.  Go to a store and try to find American made baking pans and cookie sheets.  Very few and far between.  Finally found a company called Nordic Ware I think from Minnisota.  Couldn't find them locally and had to by online.  There is a big push in this area to buy local.  The problem is a lot of the stuff I want isn't carried by local stores or the local mark up is rediculous.  Local shop had tires for my truck for almost $600/4 mounted and balanced.  A shop I drive past every day that I work that is out of town had the same tires for just over $400.  Same place sells truck caps and were similarily over priced on those also.

Harleys have had foreign parts for years.  At one time they were trying to become 100% american made.  At that time I think most outsourced items were in the carburation and fuel system.  Saw a news clip from a rally and a bilker was asking the Harley rep about the foreign sourced parts and the rep replied that they wer working on domestic sourcing for all their parts.

I remember way back when when the big three were complaining about people buying imports and urging Americans to by American.  That kind of annoyed me as they were building a lot of over priced junk with a lot of foreign sourced parts.

This is why I try to avoid shopping at Walmart. Back in the early days, they used to say their products were majority made in the USA. It turns out that the Chinese goods took a pit stop in the US Mariannas (where minimum wage doesn't apply) to sew a "Made in the USA" label into the shirt. This is legally kosher, but it still pisses me off. If it's Chinese, tell me, if its American, I'll pay a bit more, but don't lie to me while pretending to be patriotic and laughing all the way to the bank.

Pet Peeve Alert:

The NRA doesn't send out HATS, they send out CAPS.

Next thing you guys will be agreeing with your wives and the advertising industry that it is possible for a man to wear a TOP.

Not me, I will continue to wear SHIRTS!! Don't get me started on panties v shorts or drawers.

To review: if the brim doesn't go ALL the way around it cannot be a hat, it is a cap.

thank you for your future co-operation.

THREAD DRIFT WARNING:

Here's a pistol that takes clips.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. And as a man who has had a long-running relationship with a Stetson or two (and Resistol, Bangora, Larry Mahan, et al), I should have noticed that.
