I guess I don't understand this thinking of hiding. What happened to being actively pro-gun and spreading the word? Everyone seems so worried about being robbed if they display their view point. Well don't put a sign up that says, "I have X amount of guns worth X amount of money in my home or vehicle." But be proud of exercising your Second Amendment rights.
I was under the impression that this is what this entire forum is about. Spreading the word about how great guns are and the amount of fun you can have with them, along with the safety you can enjoy as well.
During my daily work, I have to make small talk with numerous people throughout the day. I never hesitate to steer the conversation towards guns. Most of the time, I find people who are of the same mindset and friendships are made, but there are people who don't know or don't understand the gun culture. This leads into a discussion, in which many times, I leave them being informed and often having a changed opinion on the matter. Often it leaves me rather late to the next scheduled job, but it is worth it.
So this junk about not telling people you have guns is why mainstream media has the ability to corrupt those who may be on the fence or those who are uninformed. Hell, you don't even have to tell people you HAVE guns. It can be a simple comment as to how much you enjoy shooting, whether for hunting, sport or just entertainment.
Gun ownership should be displayed as proudly as the American flag. How many of you on here would hide that?
That's just my 15 cents worth but after BHO tax it's equal to -$0.02
