The lack of guns. Thats the problem!!!

No, actually La. has fairly reasonable gun laws, the problem is that you have a city of people to dumb to live above the water level, mostly living on Govt handouts and crime because they are to lazy to work even to keep from being flooded out, they preferred to steal from the local stores, and this collection of "citizens" is also saddled with the most corrupt Police Dept. in the nation, (they say the biggest gang in NO wears badges )
Ray Nogun got his "Chocolate City" and lo and behold it takes on the character of a 3rd world country.

As liberal as NO is, it should be a nirvana, just like Detroit right? No poverty, no homeless, very little crime, just a great city.

George Carlin had a great skit on the city of NO and hurricane rules:

http://urbanlegends.about.com/library/bl_hurricane_rules.htm

and of course, the most important one: people in NO, and even our POTUS have looooong forgotten:

#7. The government isn't responsible for giving you anything. This is the land of the free and the home of the brave, but you gotta work for what you want. McDonalds and Wal-Mart are always hiring, get a damn job and stop spooning off the people who are actually working for a living. President Kennedy said it best..."Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."

Maybe William Jefferson D-La, the one with the cool cash in his freezer, could pull some out and contribute.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

The reason Hispanics were hired for the jobs was becuase no one in NO was applying for them, tose lazy leeces were perfectly comfy in their free FEMA trailers.

FBI doesn't make it easy.   There pretty spread sheet only has raw numbers not per-capita.  And it's all laid out so neat it's not easy to re-sort.   When I get a moment I'll regurgitate it for them.

And where was Washington DC?   Is it less than 100k population?

are we forgetting Katrina? when the N.O. fuzz took guns away from the citizens? less guns.... also, I work with a guy from the area, he didn't return because he liked it elsewhere. safer, less hoodlums, gangs, you know, Texas...  ;D

and jobs in N.O.? a butt load of construction. some neighbors (from when I lived in Texas) haven't returned to Texas because of all the work.   DUH!!!!

I worked retail when the hurricane hit, they were asking for volunteers to go work our stores in New Orleans and the other areas because they couldn't find anyone there that wanted to work.
