Ask and ye shall receive....

I've got an AA system that I'm testing out right now.  So far I've been very impressed with it.

OK. How about a comparison between the gas piston AR and another gas piston operated 5.56, say a Mini 14 or H&K.
You did say ask ;D

Sure, what kind of comparison did you want?

One where you send me some guns and ammo for testing and then I post range reports ASAP..... (Oh, did I mention that I get to keep the free swag sent to me for testing)

The video of the AA system showed the gasses at the muzzle, I'd like to see a comparison of muzzle blast between the Gas piston AR and other gas piston rifles of similar barrel length, like the AK or Mini 14. to show that the AA system is no more revealing than other proven systems.

Well, you could just take my word for it......but I'll see what I can find.

Just to reiterate, the AA system is similar to all other piston designs when it comes to venting excess gas from the piston system.  There is no smoke signature and it will not give away your position.

I'm willing to take your word for it but Ping ( reply #6 ) raised the question, so I thought of visual demonstration to show him it's no different than other proven designs. Besides, any excuse for gun porn is a good excuse  ;D

Thanks USSA-1 for answering the question. Thanks Tom for your input.  Would like to find one to rent and put a few rounds down range.

That's another one we'll need to leave to M25, I just know it's cleaner, and supposed to be more reliable.
I just hope CMMG leaves off that damn fool forward assist, if you need to manually drive the bolt home you shouldn't shoot it.

If you want to cycle the bolt very quietly you ride it forward slowly and use the forward assist the last fraction of an inch if neccesary. I've used it that way but never the way it designed to be used.

Standard, then the AA system shown.  Looks like the AA system gives off a notably bigger cloud of gass in front to me...  I dont see being to hard to find in brush with that cloud around you.  Would depend on the lighting if thats visible at all though.

Depending on the lighting, I wonder how difficult it is to see your target though that?

Since it hasn't been a problem with any other semi auto, (I believe the AR is the only one that uses gas impingement ) It's a non issue.
