Here, if it is Fed legal then it is state legal.

MA doesn't really recognize that there IS a Federal government unless their looking for more money for the Big Dig!

I love that Mare's Leg.

On another point.  A friend of mine that is one of the most knowledgeable and experienced  people that I know when it comes to firearms in general and is what I consider an expert in anything reloading and bullet casting believes that the .357 in a carbine is great.  I defer to his knowledge and experience.  A lever gun in .38/.357 is very versatile.  Milder loads for plinking and small game to hotter loads for SD and larger game.  I would love to have a lever gun in .357, 44, or .45 Colt.  The pistol round carbines are fun.
