Check these guys out
www.midwestgunexchange.com
They are having a blowout sale and are offering Henrys at $360. They say all models, but don't list calibers. I'm also not sure about mail order on this sale, the guy I spoke with said he'd have to call me back. I called about a$589 DPMS AR (yes you read that right).  If they will ship, I'm going to have a very funny looking AK. ;D

Can you have it shipped to an out of state dealer and then pick it up there?

If it's on the approved list (don't ask) I have my FFL source the gun, pay for it and then they will order it.  If I were in NH or CT on a visit and bought a gun that is approved, then I could register it within seven days of the purchase.  Not that big a deal really, just a pain in the ass.

The issue is, it's up too me to do my due dillegence to make sure the guns are legal.  A dealer in border states can sell me any long gun but they don't care much what I do with it.  They made their money, don't care if I'm legal or not.

If I can find a gun that was registered in the state prior to 1996, say a Colt AR with 30 round mags, supressor, collapsable stock, bayonet mount and whatever else you could snap on, that would be legal.  Wanna buy a new carbine with a 12 round tube fed magazine?  Your out of luck...!

A buddy of mine had two of the afformentioned Colt AR's.  He sold one of them for around $3,000.00...

Haz,  Didn't the Winchester 1895 have an attached box magazine and come in 30.06 as well as other calibers?

I think Savaga made a 99 variation in .308.

Forgot about those Marlin 39s in .22.

So many guns, so little money. :'(

I think I'm going to Midwest Gun Exchange this weelend.  Damn AC is out at home and it's 90 degrees out. :(  Repair guys can't get here till Saturday.  AC is 40 years old and probably needs to be replaced, so that is why I say might go to MGE.  It's over the border, but about a 45 minute drive.  Got a great deal last fall on mr RRA AR carbine last fall just before the election.
