That's why I need someone to make me a carry holster for this.

This would be perfect...... Under a big coat.

And with a VERY good lawyer. Seriously, the no sawed off shotgun thing does bug me. Why are they banned, simple prejudice that associates them with criminals. Its about as logical as NJs ban on hollow points. It is simply absurd. Our current parallel is the AK the "evil" gun. My great granddad had a pair of 20 gauge Parker Bank Guard pistols. Useless beyond about ten yards, but inside of that with double ought, well, you had a problem. No reason I shouldn't be allowed to carry them today. Honestly, what's the difference between 18 and 8" (ten inches Tom and KMA ;D)? The point is if a rifle or shotgun is legal, why should the barell length matter?

When FDR instituted the jobs program for laid off prohibition agents that became known as the "NFA" they needed rules to enforce that might effect regular people who could not afford the Ammo for a machine gun, so they went included what were then known as "burglar guns" short barreled shot guns and rifles that were usually kept in the bedroom or car for protection.
The reasoning was they had no "sporting" or military value.

I've always thought that a Shorty loaded with Aguila mini-shells (giving it a 4-5 rd. capacity) would be a great CCW...  8)
Why, yes....I'm the right-wing extremist Obama warned you about... ;D

I just wish Texas was as free and independent as everyone thinks it is...   :'(

Isn't all you have to do is get a barrel with rifling.  Can't affect 00buck that much from that short of barrel.

Wait, wait, you could call it the "Super Judge"
Will work for ammo

When MB was having his Serbu built, he mentioned something about the receiver having to be purpose built as a "Pistol" receiver.
I don't recall the details, but my understanding was that if you put a short barrel on your skeet gun it became a sawed off shot gun, if you bought a Pistol specific receiver and put a short barrel on it it was a perfectly legal "Any Other Weapon" (After you paid the ATF tax and paperwork of course.
