Yup.  Their world is a microcosm of themselves.  Personal comfort and properity is where they are.

Food, that's how the populations were controlled in the countries the German's gained control of in WWII.  Before they rolled in food aplenty, a week later 1,100 calories a day.  Your neighbor is a snitch for extra food...a loaf of bread every two weeks did it.  The food is a powerful motivator when you don't have enough of it....they bought sellouts for a loaf every couple of weeks or so depending on family size....more and the populace would have seen them a bit "fatter" so that was it.  I have this from a friend who exited WWII in his mid teens from a conquered country.  And, oh yeah, the people who took that extra loaf of bread...seems as though they were not as invisible as thought and they and their families disappeared within weeks after the German's left.  The ones who had directly and openly supported the faux government, well...they didn't last that long...they begged to leave with them but were left behind...those families usually didn't finish out the day intact.

The farmers had more food...they had to work.  People would come out from the cities with gobs of marks to find food....the smart farmers said,  "Sorry I cannot help you but that Rolex you have or your wife's necklace is quite nice and maybe I can find you a ham or something."  After the war the smart farmers had new farm equipment, fresh painted barns, etc...the ones who took the worthless currency had..well, nothing for the paper they exchanged.

1) BO's ambiguous place of birth, which should have disqualified him.
2) BO's $360+ MILLION campaign with funds from unknown sources.
3) ACORN registering the dead.
4) Club wielding Black Panther "poll watchers"
5) A Tax cheat as Treasury Secretary.
6) Stimulus package that puts US in more debt than has been spent in the entire history of US guarantees inflation and was proven not to work in the last depression.
7) Classification of REAL Americans as "potential terrorists"
8 ) Media that is nothing but a socialist propaganda arm.

Sad but true, Tom. You make a great point and I have to sadly admit that you, Path and Rastus are completely right. We have already stood by while way too many atrocities have taken place. You just posted a short list of some of the worst offences and we have stood idly by for all of them and for so much more. It is getting harder to recognize our country with each passing day. It makes you wonder just what it is going to take to wake this country up.

When total economic collapse causes refineries and power plants to shut down, the trucks stop rolling and the lights go out.
