Well, guys, first off, thanks for the continued prayers for Amy. Her treatments are going as scheduled and she had #7 last week and is over the half-way hump (as she says). The chemo is starting to wear her down more and more after each treatment and it takes longer and longer after each one for her to get back up and going. But, she is stubborn and is persevering.
The old saying about when it rains it pours........
I didn't want to start another separate thread for this, but I would like to ask those keeping up with this to add my uncle (my dad's brother) Jack Goins to your prayers as well. We found out yesterday that he has an approximately 2cm tumor in his brain. He also has swollen lymph nodes. Further tests are needed to determine the best course of action.
I've always been close to him and he has been as much of an influence in my life as my father and with all we've been going through with Amy, this was just another kick in the gut to the family.
He is in good spirits and optimistic.
I'm not singing a sad song, just needed to get it off my chest.....and this place is where I've become comfortable with doing that.
Thanks all,
Chuck
