IS the meat used for anything or do ya just let it feed the buzzards?  I don't really have a problem either way, over population must be controlled especially non-native species.

in some aria's they do try to harvest them for meat both export and domestic use

however with most of the aria's being very remote  logistically  it is quite difficult due to the lack of near by cold storage.  and transport  as some parts are soo remote up that way  the cost is not worth the return that you can get.

and as i said  the numbers are soo high  they need to get a dent on to the numbers first.

Comments such as this:
Quote
Mark Pearson, executive director of the animal welfare group Animal Liberation New South Wales, offered another solution: birth control. Giving the animals a drug to render them infertile is far kinder than pumping them full of bullets, he said.

Shows the lefty animal loonies really do have NFI.

There are no quota's on camels, they are a feral species, you only need to make sure you have permission to shoot them on the land your on. (SA and NT other states may be different)
Trouble with camels is they not only eat anything ie all the native flora that the natives use to take shelter in, eat etc, crops that farmers manage to grow out there but they also bust through fences like Obama breaks promises.
Spitting, smelly, horrible animals no wonder the arabs like them.

you will love this
in short

your only quota  is how much ammo you can carry when it comes to ferrel animals  here in australia

Illegal to shoot Native animals with out permits / tags.

the funny thing  is once you go through all the BS here to get your guns  once you have it we have some of the best hunting / shooting here in the world

here in SA you only need a general hunting permit  only about $25   this dose not cover ducks though ( more issues  and a test  with a season and limits )  there is different hunting permits from state to state though

also need permission from the land owners

and away you go.....

It bloody well should!  >:(
Could think of a few more feral species that deserve a one way trip in a hercules transport to the middle of the alantic.
