Like it or not, TAB, cops are more apt to extend "professional courtesy" to retired cops than they are to retired chefs, retired contractors, or retired radio announcers.  That's the way it works in the real world.

lets talk about the real world.  In CA a LEO is more likly to be convicted of a crime then the average cit.  So if anything they are less trust worthy then the average person.   Scary isn't it?

Representative Carol Shea-Porter (The hyphenated last name tells me volumes) needs to get voted out ASAP. These heavy handed tactics are despicable. She should be ashamed of her treatment of a patriotic American.
“What country can preserve its liberties if its rulers are not warned from time to time that the people preserve the spirit of resistance?”

Title reads "Security" - were they real cops or rent-a-cops?

If real cops, raises once again the issue of LEO reaction when the Insect Overlords in DC start issuing all sort of roundup orders.

Update - OK, so I went and watched the video - they appear to be real cops. Time for a swarm of complaints to PD chief folks.

After watching the video, and pausing it so that the patch on the officer's arm was visible, across the top of that patch was emblazoned the word "POLICE", in big block letters.  What a crock.

Could you site some statistics to back up your accusation, please?  I'd be interested to know where you got your statistics that show more LEO's housed in CA jails than non-LEO's.  Or are you just talking out your.....ummmmm.....south side again?

The town of Alton NH invited all 4 of our Federal reps, both Senators and both Congress critters to host a Town hall meeting in their High School, (where BO spoke while he was campaigning) they pointed out that since it is pretty much the center of the state the ENTIRE state could be represented instead of just the southern 1/4, they already had arranged for local, county, and State police to be available, all arraignments had been made, all these 4 had to do was show up.
Even the one Republican refused.
If you are not in the Socialist bastions of Manchester or the Seacoast they do not want to hear from you.

Pathetic. Its one of the things that pissed me off most about Bush and is doing so now against BO. This stategy of never appearing before a hostile audience and making your case and then taking hard questions. Love me or hate me, you know I'm not afraid to do it. Why the hell shouldn't an elected represntative or president do the same? Its simply a leadership function, eg part of the damn job. >:(

it was a cA doj report put out about 5 years ago, they had it on thier web site for a couple weeks, then magicly it disapeared.     I said convicted of a crime, not in jail.  there is a huge diffrence.

its not that hard to figure out, take the number of non LEOs divide by convictions.  that will give you a per capita conviction rate.  do the same with LEOs

This is a result of political consultants and is just the present political landscape.  It will remain so if nothing is changed...

See where I'm going with this?  I know, I'm preaching to the choir.

As far as the miss representative from the fine state of NH, if I'm not mistaken, she was elected as a rowdy, anti-war, town hall protester.  I will have to defer to Tom, but that is my understanding.
The person who has nothing for which his is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

More or less, typical Bush is evil BS. He may have been blah, but he was a heck of a lot better than the scum he ran against. I find it interesting that the ones who bash Bush neglect to mention that when his approval rating was in the 20's the Dem congress he was saddled with for 6 years had an approval rating of 11%. Carol Shea - Porter was elected by the Gays and Socialists in the Seacoast.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/general_politics/august_2009/42_say_people_randomly_selected_from_phone_book_better_than_current_congress

Forty-two percent (42%) of U.S. voters say a group of people randomly selected from the phone book would do a better job than the current Congress.

Finally got a reply from Shea Porter;

Dear Mr. Bogan:

Thank you for contacting my office regarding your concerns with my health care town hall events.

The issue you are referring to was an act carried out by the Federal Protective Service (FPS).  It was solely their job to create and enforce security protocol at my health care town hall event held at the Norris Cotton Federal Building.  At no time did I signal to have a person escorted out.  As an eyewitness reporter from the Union Leader stated in an article on September 3 entitled "Shea-Porter's town hall bad rap," "Shea-Porter did not have Tomanelli ejected.  She didn't signal to the officers to have him ejected. She did not make the call. An officer made the call." In addition, attached you will find a statement from Lieutenant William Barry of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, who had attended the town hall meeting in "the capacity of helping out with security for the Federal Protective Service," who also disputes these false claims.

To learn more about current legislation or about my voting record, I invite you to visit the Library of Congress legislative information website (www.thomas.gov). There, you can find the full text of a bill or a summary, who introduced it and when, who is cosponsoring it, and where it is in the legislative process. I also invite you to visit my website (http://shea-porter.house.gov) for more information about bills that I have introduced or cosponsored, and for issue updates, position statements, or to sign up for my email newsletter.

Thank you again for contacting my office. It is a privilege to serve you in Washington.

Sincerely,

Carol Shea-Porter

Member of Congress
