SIG P238

For you 380 fans out there, I thought you might be interested in this. According to the retailer, it will also use Colt Mustang magazines.

I was disappointed that they modeled the fire control of the  P238 after the 1911 rather than the rest of the Sig family.

This is a deal breaker for me.

What happened to the cool looking aluminum grips?

I was unaware of the 1911 fire control, don't think that matters. The $600 MSRP is a choker for a .380 though. I still want one, but may go for the Sig 1911 Blackwater instead as a collector's piece. When I find another job, that is.

Updated it. I'd add FQ but apparently he has money to burn on old soviet trash.

That's a nice looking gun! Just like a tiny little baby Sig.

Thats why I had to stop coming to this site for a while while I was laid off...... Good luck on the job hunt, Path.

Back on topic. I saw a bunch of those at the gun shows. $600 for a .380 is a definite put off. Cool lookin little buggers though... Especially with aluminum grips....

The Colt Mustang WAS a miniature 1911 in .380 ACP.  The Sig is just a real expensive copy of the Mustang with a little Siggy look to it.

I'll take the original anyday.  The Sig, not so much unless of course someone needs me to test one for ten or twenty years! ;D

Once the Sig is on the market for a while, you may see a price drop in those mustangs
