In order to maintain my train of thought I'm going to insert MY comments in Woody's post;

It was pretty surreal to watch on TV.  I'm pretty sure our Leaders knew of this coming. ( If you mean THIS specific plot, you are a tin foil idiot, if you mean "Something" I'll get to that )  Our aggressive arrogance, ( This "Blame America BS has no factual bearing, and is nothing more than socialist propaganda, don't s-pew that crap around here )VS with their hate for us.( This, while actually true also has no bearing, if you pay any attention to the writings and speaches of the Jihadists, you will find they hate EVERYBODY ) Matter of when. This has been simmering for decades. Still, neither the Repos or the Demos has found the bad guys. Why haven't they secured our borders, and they just keep inventing mechanisms to restrict citizens freedoms, not get B/L. If all this scanning and screening is safety and security, I'll take danger any day .( The first Presidential Order authorizing the killing of Usama Bin Laden was signed by Bill Clinton. The problem, generaly speaking, has not been in locating him, but in getting the lawyers and faggot diplomats to sign off on a given operation in a timely enough manner for it to succeed before the Politicians and the treasonous press can broadcast it to the world )
With all those Predators  flying around, they haven't a clue where B/L is? The blimps, cameras, their intelligence, soothsayers and journalists can't find The New Madhi? Islam's mighty warrior? Nice puzzle, should take decades. ( It was alot easier to track him before the treasonous press revealed that US intelligence could locate and monitor Cell phones, now most targets communicate by sending messages by runner. NOTE, I find your phrase "New Mahdi" interesting, the similarities are there. )
Is Bin Laden a CIA asset,( Not the way you mean it, During the "Anti Soviet Jihad we poured money into the Pakistani ISI, their intelligence out fit, and then they distributed it as they saw fit, often to anti western, Wahabi dominated groups such as those associated with BL. He and the CIA both wanted Soviets going home in body bags, to that extent yes he was an asset, did he have DIRECT ties to the CIA, NO, his ties were to the Pak ISI and SAUDI Intelligence, where his "handler/contact" was Prince Turki, the current Saudi Ambassador to the US, The man who brokered the deal for the Saudi's to pay BL $3 Mil. in exchange for him not causing trouble for the Royal Family) that sold his own people out? (No, "His people" are the followers of the fanatic Wahabi branch of Islam, he has been true to their beliefs ) The USA  issued citizenship and flight training for his followers. ( PURE BS. Due to typical Govt. inefficiency the highjackers were allowed to come to this country, mostly on student visas, I do not offhand remember ANY of the 19 being US citizens, as to the flight training, it was not ISSUED, it was bought and paid for, just like any other special training you might want in a FREE country.) Flew his Brother out, only flight out that day.( Flew out a whole plane load of Bin Laden relatives and other Saudis, because they would probably have been killed other wise, don't be the type of fool that thinks all Muslims agree with the fanatics, just like our own civil war, this conflict is tearing apart families, the rest of the Bin Laden clan are very happy being billionaires in fact the family disowned UBL because his fanaticism was causing them problems. Following the Wahabi teachings is a personal choice ) Our nations security failed, because they were told to stand down due to a drill? To many questions linger, now the firefighters are coming out, the ones still alive. Questions.
America needs closure, we need to find out whether foreign and or domestic enemies had anything to do this mass murder, we must know what really happened. It has affected our Constitution and Bill of Rights, ruined us financially, and forced our children into perpetual, un-payable debt. Have they kept us safe from our attackers? Who are our attackers? The only ones that have profited from this is the Govt, Banks, military contractors, biotech and security firms.
The American citizen has lost. Our people were murdered that day and everyday takes a soldier. We must know exactly what happened that day or we will not be able to climb out of our state of limbo, and focus on healing.

The rest of your post is pure ignorant tinfoil paranoia. The sort of stupid crap spouted by slime like Ward Churchill and Rosie O'Donut, if you REALLY believe that, you are no better than they are.
The reason America's security failed on 9-11-01 was because the liberals, primarily Democrats, had been cutting the budgets and capabilities of both the military and intelligence communities for 40 years to fund welfare give aways to drones. The nearest air defense aircraft were on the ground in Mass. and Fl. because all the other East Coast air bases have been closed, the CIA was caught off guard because they are not able to fund actual on the ground, human spies, and the few we can get are CONGRESSIONALLY required to be the type of saints that are not going to be told what the bad guys are thinking. Satellites can't answer THAT, but heaven forbid the US should dirty it's hands by dealing with the types of scum bags who COULD give us the information we need. And despite the treasonous meddling of 2 faced liars like Pelosi, the actions of George W. Bush and our American troops HAS kept us safe. It was not American buses that were blown up, it was not American trains that were blown up, it was not American night clubs or Hotels that were blown up.

The only other thing I can add is to echo Ratcatcher, Put a sock in the stupid sh!t.

Has anyone heard anything about 9/11 being somehow renamed after Teddy Kennedy? I received a disturbing email from someone in NYC that mentioned that. It's bad enough it's been co-opted into a "green" service holiday, but WTF - Kennedy?

I never knew it was "Community Service Day", according to BHO, he made it sound like I should be picking up trash at the beach today.

My flag, (new one BTW), has flown since that day, and everyday since.

I will NOT respond to Woody's comment, thank you to those who did.

My memories on Ocean Isle Beach, NC, making a service call, watching a 13" TV with "rabbit ear" reception on CBS, because it was the only channel I could get, changed my very life and perspective of the future for my family and this countries future.

I heard it on the radio driving down, but even with crappy reception, I sat alone in the salon of that yacht and cried, got scared, got pissed all at once. It is a feeling I will never forget.

My boss called, said to make the decision whether to finish the repair, or get back home, as no one knew how much more was or was not coming.

Tough day 8 years later, I'm afraid the wound inflicted on this day, will not heal for myself, the families, or this country, for a long time.

For those on Flight 93, THEY set a precedent that will never be forgotten, and in that terrible instant, knowing the consequences, were welcomed into the hands of God for their brave actions. The ultimate sacrifice by men like Todd Beamer and others, that represent the best of America.  For them, "We Still Roll".

God Bless All the Victims and their families, and despite a "Community Service Day", God Bless This Country.

Language to designate 9/11 as a National Day of Service and Remembrance has
been included as an important provision in the Generations Invigorating
Volunteerism and Education Act, or GIVE Act, (H.R. 1388),
which was introduced
today and authorizes groundbreaking federal support for many innovative
national service programs. Under the GIVE Act, the anniversary of 9/11 would
be observed in ways similar to Martin Luther King Day.  People would
voluntarily engage in remembrance through personal and organized service
activities and reflection, but 9/11 would not become a federal holiday.  U.S.
Senator Charles Schumer (NY) and U.S. Rep. Peter King (NY-3), both of whom
have long supported establishing 9/11 as a national day of service, worked
with GIVE Act sponsors U.S. Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (NY-04) and U.S. Rep. George
Miller (CA-07), Chairman of the House Education and Labor Committee, to
develop the 9/11 language for the bill.

I know I'll never forget. After watching the T.V. for awhile, I remembered my friend was archery hunting elk in  Colorado. His gun shop was only being manned by 1 guy. I figured I would swing by to help him out. The place was a madhouse and he was grateful for any assistance he could get.

This day needs to be remembered for what it really was.

Some comparisons,

America has often been arrogant,..

I spent the day trying not to think about it.....esp. considering all the things that haven't been done (and have been done wrongly) since....it builds up a lot of rage inside me....

....explain to me why Iran and Syria still exist?....
Why, yes....I'm the right-wing extremist Obama warned you about... ;D

I just wish Texas was as free and independent as everyone thinks it is...   :'(

That's an EASY one !, Congress is composed of a bunch of gutless cowards who are afraid of angering fearsome forces like France (the only country to lose a war to Mexico ). We should thank our lucky stars that G.W.Bush actually bullied those sissies into striking Afghanistan.
