Thing is Peg, I enjoy both. I am an unapologetic Florida Cracker. Livers (goose, ckicken, or duck) are considered delicacies. We also go out in the swamp and gig frogs (not gators, an important safety rule I learned the hard way at age ten ;D).Foie Gras, Frogs ass, it all sounds like good eats to any self respecting Florida redneck. 8)

Sounds more like a Cajun to me.

You actually over paid for the oysters...... I think they are going for about $25 a bushel...... just throw them on a grill and then throw some wet burlap on top...... eat, drink, and be merry.
Everything I needed to learn in life I learned from Country Music.

I could think of a few more, but I'll take the high road since you are on vacation.

Only difference is that they cook better and sing worse than we do. ;D

If it walks, crawls, swims, flies, hops, or grows, they'll cook it.

+ a dash of cayan pepper...  Isn't that the actual recipe for gumbo?

What's that? Overpaying for the oysters - throwing things on a grill and throwing wet burlap on things?

Charleston is a great town, I still have family friends down there, used to spend my summers on Sullivan's Island. Don't mess it up for the rest of us!!!!   >:(

Yeah....
I can see him..............
As his 'would-be' assailants are beating a steady retreat...........
He does a quick 360 spin on one foot, snaps his fingers, points like Travolta in Saturday Night Fever...........
And says, "You've just been FQ'ed, baby!"
