You do realize that gun registration laws don't even apply to criminals ?
They only apply to LEGALLY owned fire arms, require a crook to register his weapon violates his 5th Amendment protection against self incrimination.

try again, just about every old west town had a "no guns" laws. 

True.....and most of those laws were directed at the cowboys and other drifters.....nothing was said to the "respected citizen" who chose to go "heeled"....

I just heard on the news (the wife watches, not me) that the shooter had "secondary post traumatic stress"   from dealing with the soldiers who actually had it. (primary post traumatic stress?)

Actually Bill that is in a general way correct, There were other issues involved, but the last incidents leading up to the shooting revolved around the "No guns" policy.
