The SR9 is BACK!

My SR9 came back this afternoon...LESS THAN A WEEK TURNAROUND!
I probably bitched more than anyone (probably?) about this whole thing but I have to admit that I was VERY excited when the UPS truck pulled up.
So I'm sitting at my desk with my new 2- piece trigger (I'm really NOT sure about that- sticks the middle of your finger when you prepare to fire)- I'm wearing my new cap that says "the Ruger SR9" and taking it apart. The only thing that looks different is the trigger itself, and in dry firing the trigger travel is much less than the old trigger. This could be good. AND they polished up my feed ramp. Looks like it had a real tuneup inside.
 
I'm hoping to get out to the range tonight and throw a couple of rounds through it.

I got the blues as my companion.

Hope your range time is positive. It will be a good time for you and your SR9 to get to know each other again. Then maybe you can put this all behind you. Here is a early congrats ;)

Out of ignorant curiosity, did Ruger give you a hat as well as a new magazine?

Which color SR-9 did you get? I'm in California and I think it is near approval. I'm really liking the green and black one, but to avoid getting ribbed at the range, I'll probably go with the black/black.

Did you ever shoot it before the recall?

Fuzdaddy! What kind of political gunnectness is that? Your gun, your choice. Besides, since I seem to dress in green and tan mostly, my green carry guns (3 of'em) are almost invisible, even open carry mode in green Fobus holsters. The guys at the range will be going green before you know it. Lead the way!

If you were next to me at the range, believe me I wouldn't be ribbing you about the green, I'd be asking you if I could see how it fits in my greedy little hands ;D. All kidding aside. I agree with DDMack. Your gun your choice. Fuzdaddy.

You guys are right. Green it is. The only other consideration would be that the wife would never notice another black gun in the safe. I can however probably get both if "one is for her."

Hey Mac - As green as those guns are, I don't think that Al Gore would approve. I really like those, but I don't think that they're sold the Socialist Republik of Kalifornia. They may soon allow me to have a green SR9 with a neutered magazine.
