Here is one song apiece from DHC's 1989, 1990, and 1991 back-to-back albums, her 2nd, 3rd, and 4th of 16 or 17 albums. The title songs of 2 albums, and the first song that came up on a search of the one without a title song. Not necessarily her best of each album, but maybe a fair representation. These weren't on YouTube for a long time, but maybe she got tired of taking them down. At first she looked more like a punk rocker than an opera star like the typical harpist, and a lot of people didn't know what to make of her.

Very strange, but in a good way, Mike. Familiar, and NOT, at the same time. I like music played on on different instruments anyway, old ones like the hurdy gurdy, foreign ones like the koto, or oddballs like a lithophone. And the occasional foreign language version of a familiar song.

Deborah Henson-Conant (DHC) recorded a few jazz albums of harp before she had a custom mini-harp made and started rocking. She did her own version of Jimi Hendrix's Star Spangled Banner on electric harp instead of electric guitar, but I liked her old jazz and blues even more. Here's a quick bit from one of the times she came to Michigan and played with the Grand Rapids Symphony 19 years ago. And a little bit of blues, a duet with a slap bass, and one of her many original songs.

Got my mystery box today, They sent me an orange Baton 4 and a "Magic self adhesive cloth" What ever the hell that is??

I never heard of that before but did a search and it looks like a lot of people are using it to wrap telephoto lenses and other stuff they don't want covered in dust. I see some definite 2A applications if this is what you got. Or a "tucking" application if you cross dress. ;D  And I got another bonus credit. Thanks. You can have it if you want. I think it's only good for 2 weeks and I don't plan on buying anything right now.

I had a Regal Blue Baton 4 before I got the Baton 4 Fighter Pilot - Premium with a charging case. The Premium costs $40 more than the light alone when they aren't on sale. I got the first light on sale, then the second one with the case on sale later. They have a Charging Case for Baton 4 for $39.99 in Black only. I would recommend buying one if they have a good sale on it or it's part of a DIY bundle for 40% off.

Features

Multi-functional Companion: Powered by a 5000mAh battery, the case can fully charge the Baton 4 flashlight 5 times, giving the flashlight a max runtime of 190 days. It can also charge your mobile devices for emergencies with its USB-C port.

All Things Done With A Press: The digital display button on the case shows the remaining power; just press the button to light up the flashlight directly, and long press to achieve stepless dimming, allowing simultaneous charging and lighting in your hand.

Home For Six Lights: The case is fully compatible with Baton 4 and Baton 3 and supports storing and charging the S1R II, Perun Mini, Perun 2 Mini and Perun 3 Mini.

When I put my Baton 4s in the case they have stepless brightening, and dimming when you hold the button again, all while the light is in the case. And when I put my Baton 3 in, it does the same thing. The Baton 4 won't fit in the Baton 3 case, but some of the older lights this size will. The Baton 3 case is a little smaller and I have a belt holster for it. The tailor-made wireless charger features a built-in 3.6V 3500mAh battery and can charge the Baton 3 up to 3.7 times. Notice: USB-C Charging Cable is included. It looks like they quit making the Baton 3 but still have the charging cases, in Black only, for 10% less than the Baton 4 case that does so much more. They don't make a holster for it, not yet anyway, so I attached the lanyard to mine. The Fighter Pilot Baton 4 looks good with a blue clip on it so I replaced the gold one that was on it with one I previously put on my blue Baton 4 to replace the silver clip. I put the gold clip on the blue Baton 4 for now, but may buy another blue clip later. The gold clip looks good with the silver bezel and button, so I may keep it this way.

Here in Western North Carolina we woke up to 28 degrees.  Not too bad, but my antique fuel oil boiler gave up the ghost a couple of weeks ago and we are depending on a couple of mini-splits to keep us warm. They aren't doing a bad job and get the bedroom up to 72 in no time at all.  We run a fire in the fireplace during the evening so we stay comfortable.

It 28 degrees here in Michigan 2 1/2 hours after sunset, which was before 5 pm, BTW. This is the only time of the year we need Daylight Saving Time, and the only time of the year we don't have it. The "feels like" temp is 28 too, and single digit temps are rare, but that was better than the sub-0 I heard was predicted when several states took the plunge.

Humans are born with a taste for sugar. In my case it's an extreme craving. Eating sweets, and drinking sweet drinks, is only natural. If you're worried about salmonella in your eggnog, add lots of rum and whiskey. I never heard of anyone getting salmonella poisoning from pickled eggs. ;D

Down Range Cafe / Re: Mild Hurricane Season (so far)

Hurricane season must have an end to it some time. But I found out tornadoes can happen way outside of tornado season. The time when most tornadoes strike "tornado season" is March through June, but tornadoes have been documented in the U.S. during every month and day of the year. Two examples of this are when a series of tornadoes hit the state of Indiana on November 22, 1992, and injured at least nine people. Another notable non-season tornado was where a tornado struck the area of McLean County, Illinois. Even though the tornado was during a winter month, it blew 20 railroad cars off their tracks, and hauled a camper over 100 yards. Winter tornadoes are just wrong, but no one can't stop them. The first Saturday of each month during tornado season, the city tests all the warning sirens, but they don't know if the sirens will work when a tornado hits outside of the season.

Remington Golden Bullet Bucket-o-Bullets .22LR 36gr HP 1400 ct Bucket $10 Off, $89.98 at Freedom Munitions until tomorrow or as long as they last. Other stuff on sale too, but I just bought one of these buckets. My Trek-22 Rifle is supposed to be on its way to my FFL now, so it seemed like a good time for more ammo.

Will Trent is filming nearby over the next couple of days.  If it weren't so chilly I'd go be an extra.  The show has grown on Miss Kitty and I.  Not everybody's cup of tea.  Love seeing local landscapes in the background.

<As Aside>  Years ago, in my job as a dog robber for a corporate VP, I got to go to Fox Studios(LA) and meet, briefly, very briefly with execs there.  Afterwards, sort of as a pat on the head, they had a PR person give me a personal tour.  The lot was not open to public tours so this was special.  As we were walking down one of the side streets I recognized a Police Precinct building for a new NYC based crime show that was featured in a lot of shots.  The tour guide explained it was very expensive shooting all the outside shots in NYC so they had just completed this replica so all filming could be done in LA.  I got to chat with the craftsmen and give input on how their replica looked vs pictures of the actual building...   Very cool.   Also got to tour the set of Pickett Fences and talk with a couple of the actors.   They were in hiatus for that week because somebody left several take-out fish and chip dinners in the fridge on the previous Friday and the electricians had shut all power off during the long four day weekend.  The whole sound stage smelled pretty ripe.  It was neat seeing how the sets were intertwined to save space.  The exit the back door of the police department and you would be in the kitchen of the lead character's house.  Saw the Star's Bungalows when they lived on the property during shooting back in the old days.   Don't think they were being used anymore.  When the guide pointed out where Marilyn Monroe stayed I asked if there was a reserved parking for JFK.  She didn't think that was funny.
