I saw this a few weeks ago.  I think it is an absolutely beautiful firearm.  The price is a big turn off but as a huge fan of .22, if I were to ever get to a place where 1000 bucks was a bit easier to come by, I would likely end up owning one.

So lets compare with a S&W, since it has been mentioned. S&W 617 MSRP is $940. For a revolver with a beautiful blue finish that S&W can no longer compete with, the price sounds just fine.

And I would bet that someone spending a grand on a .22 handgun is more likely to spend even more on custom grips, so why put high dollar wood on when it can instead be sold at a lower price? You want nicer grips and a higher price? I'm confused... Example: Lots of ARs are being sold without rear sights, as manufacturers know the carry handles will be stuffed in a drawer or traded for a box of ammo and replaced with the latest gee-whiz from MagDaniel RueVeske. This at least has serviceable grips, ugly though you may find them.

you can buy a 617 for alot less then that MSRP.  I've seen them price in the mid 600s.

TAB,

Agreed, the 617 is available for less than MSRP. I would think that the USFA would be available for less than it's MSRP as well. Maybe not as much less, as USFA probably doesn't have the margin that S&W does. Or maybe they really do sell for MSRP. Still an innovative and nice gun.

Nothing especially "innovative" about it. they just drilled more holes in the cylinder, H&R did that about 100 years ago whit their 9 shot 22.
The most innovative thing about it is it will be the only revolver that is not legal in Mass., NJ., Il. ,or Ca.

acutally, it would be legal in CA.  its 10 round detachable mags, and since its a single action, it does not need to go thru the "safety testing"  so that cuts out alot of BS.
