My Ruger story?  Never owned one, but I just read Warhawke's story and was impressed.  That enough to qualify?   ;) ;D

Why don't you have a contest to win one of Bane's trademark battery powered Hawaiian shirts?

It started out with me taking my then girlfriend, now wife to Houston to meet my dad.  Well she liked guns so we took my dad's Smith & Wesson 357 down to the range along with a couple of other guns.  Well, the gun shot so well I got bored with shooting the target and started shooting the clothes pins that were holding it on the string.  The wife fell in love with the gun too so when I got back to San Antonio I went to the next gun show to buy my own 357.  Well I held a Smith and a Ruger and liked the feel, weight and basic ergonomics better with the Ruger GP100 and the dealer cut me a deal that I just couldn't pass up, (Does anyone remember back when you could actually get a "REAL GOOD" bargin/deal at gun shows?  Not around here, not anymore.  They sell at or just barely below MSRP around here.) The deal he made me was a Brand new Ruger for less than any of the used Smiths.  Now that is just the begining of the story, here is the "rest of the story".
My first Ruger, GP100 with 4" barrell, ended up being my wife's first gun/Ruger.  I bought the gun for home defence and target shooting.  Then I the Air Force decided I needed orders to England.  This all happened in 1994.  I got to shoot the gun maybe a handful of times and the wife shot it a lot better than I did  :-[ so I told her that when I leave I will leave the gun with her for self defense.  What SHE "heard" was, "Honey, I am giving you this pistol".  Even today, after I have bought her a Ruger P90 and told her that the GP100 is mine again she still insisits that it is hers so now I have to go buy another one, but this time it is going to be a SP101 stainless for Concealed Carry.  They didn't have CC in Texas in '94 so that wasn't even a thought.

Sure wish she would let me have my GP100 back darnit...

I would like the Flying Spaghetti Monster for gracing me with his noodly goodness.
Praise Bob!
My Parents, who did one thing right anyway.
All the fine people here at Downrange.tv, especially the Marshal'ette (Psst. the cash is on the way, shhh..)
And, of course the clumsy chuckelhead who made this win possible!
