It's Wednesday...
and the shirt picking was a bit different this week.

Ashley, my 6 yr old granddaughter is staying all night with me tonight and before we read a story and  she went to bed, I told her that first I had to go in and get the program ready so I could pick winners. She asked ( with those beautiful eyes ) if she could pick the winners and I thought.. why not...
Soooooo.. I took all the names that haven't won, wrote each one down on pieces of paper, folded each and every one exactly the same and then we put them all into the blue popcorn bowl. ( Hey,, you KNOW it's special if the blue popcorn bowl is used  ;D )
She stirred them and she stirred them and she stirred them some more and then she said she as ready.. so I held it up and she picked 3 names..

The winners are :::::::::::::::::::::

What a way to start a day!! Thank you very much. I'll get an email off right away, but the size is probably the same as that guy in the picture in your first post, as we look so much alike. Except for he has hair. Probably has his own teeth too, and he is a few score younger. Anyway, we are both male..Thanks, Mac.

ps.You actually expect us to believe you are a Grandmother?

I first learned to shoot handguns with a Ruger Single Six that my dad still has.  That was the early '80s.  My first Ruger was a MKII that I got about 18 years ago, still have it and it still runs great.  I have taught my daughter to shoot handguns using this pistol and my loves it too.  I just recently picked up a MKII Government Target Model, I have wanted one for years.  Let me just say this is the most accurate shooting handgun I have ever fired.  Great buy.

My first revolver was a security six .357 mag. back in 1982 since then I have owned and traded for a bisley vaquero .44 mag then traded for a vaquero in .45 colt that was just traded for a blackhawk in .45 colt with 45 acp cylinder last november. I did buy my father a used 10/22 international for his 93 third birthday last novenber and yes he is still shooting at his age(pop cans don't stand a chance). I have aquired a super redhawk in .44 mag in another trade last year also and have been working up some 320 gr. hard cast LBT loads for it. I hope to get a 77 ultra-light some day in .257 roberts. Just got to love to rugers.  ;D

I can't remember the date but in the early 60's I got my very first Ruger....  yep Santa brought it to me!  Believe you me I was beside myself when I opened that present from under the tree.  It was a Ruger SIngle Six Convertible .22 LR with the Magnum cylinder.  Boy did Santa outdo himself that year.  I was hooked...  from that first revolver to now, I have over 8 Ruger's in my safe.  I use my Vaquero 45's for my main match shooters.

Single-Six 22LR
P85 9 mm
Vaquero SS 44-40
Vaquero SS 45LC
Vaquero SS 45LC
10/22 Carbine Folding
10/22 Carbine Original
Carbine 44 Mag
Mini - 14 .223

-cb-

I forgot to tell ya that my dog's name is RUGER...  got him from the pound!  That's gotta count for something. hehehe

My Ruger story is simple and straightforward:
My father had given me an old High Standard .22 target pistol a couple of years ago.  It worked, but not reliably, which was frustrating.

I bought a Ruger Mark III last year.  It shoots reliably.  I'm happy when I shoot it.

And that's my story.

I have a 10/22 that I set up for shooting Chevy Truck Challenge-type matches. That gun sure is a honey; I shoot at a target at fifty yards and then shoot for the bullet hole.  It's amazing how accurate that rifle is.  I also had the barrel cyro-frozen and I won't even mention the distances that gun is accurate at to avoid disbelief and arguments on this forum.
I have two braces of Rugers for SASS shooting and they're the best thing going as far as price and reliablilty; I have a couple of braces of other pistol from different manufacturers but I probably shoot the Rugers 95% of the time; you can't break them or make them not shoot.
Oh, I take a 1XL in my shirts.
